What an earth do I buy?

If I wanted a work horse I'd get a 306 1.9 DT or 406 Hdi.

I thought you didnt like french cars, and you already drive one

I dont really understand you. You seem obsessed with what other people will think but seem happy to drive around in a Citroen Saxo or a Fiat Punto. Either you care or you dont? If you care so much about what people youve never met might think about you then why pick a cruddy womans hatchback?

Frankly if you are a mobile printer fixer just get a white Focus estate like everyone else :p
:D lol :D

You want the impossible, for some reason.

Come back when you start seeing sense! You want as big and comfortable a car as possible - I do ~30k a year and chose an E39 for that reason :p

I am not buying a Mondeo petrol.

Going from a fun go-kart to a Mondeo non ST will be souless.

I either have two cars, like a Mondeo TDCI 130 and a 106 Gti or I get a 1.9 Golf / BMW /Mondeo ST

At the hotel I am staying at, there are 3 Mondeo ST TDCI's. I would have one of those but they are still quite pricey.

I dont know why we are wasting our time assisting somebody so rude and deluded. Now Muffin is apparenty a Ford fanboy even though he has never owned one? Odd comment.

I don't care what he has owned, he questioned my knowledge on cars when I blatently know and it is written in black and white that the Astra 1.8 SRi is quicker than a 1.8 Focus.

Yet he seemed to think that it would **** over an Astra.

Having been a member on this forum for a few years now, asking for advice on a Vauxhall was silly.

ZOMFG Fords rule.

Sounds like you want something similar to what I have - Citroen C4 VTR+ - Really comfortable, feels big inside withoug being all that big, the deisel version is supposed to be efficient (mines petrol though so I have no experience).

Attempted belittlement from someone who goes round Wales fixing printers in a Saxo. Your going places.

Attempted belittlement, are you having a laugh?

You stroll in saying the Astra sucks when you probably haven't even driven one. Follow the 'OCUK Vauhall haters' you sheep.

Why are you getting personal? I'm not a printer a repairer, I haven't seen a printer and I've been doing the job 2 months. See why I don't need a big boot, all I do is carry motherboards, hard disks etc.

Are you self employed?

Go pwn some people on WoW if you can't think of a decent contribution.

I've driven one of these, 1.6 110bhp? Seemed a nice car but depreciation wouild be a killer surely?

We hate Vauxhall because they make crud cars generally. Although it does sound like you would be well suited to a crud car, so i suggest the Astra for you :)

I've quite a large selection of the Astra range, unfortunately. Was my learning car and now I’m driving them as Enterprise rentals. The Focus is the better car in all be-it looks. Evidentially the most important aspect for you. I have also had the miss fortune of the Vectra in the 1.8 and 2.2 variants, utter piddle compared to the heavily used Mk3 2.2 Mondeo pool cars we have.

So you’re a courier?
