Not on paper it doesn't.
It's slower.
Oh right, I suppose it also gives 1mpg less, this thread speaks massive volumes of your 'knowledge' of cars.

If I wanted a work horse I'd get a 306 1.9 DT or 406 Hdi.

Either you care or you dont? If you care so much about what people youve never met might think about you then why pick a cruddy womans hatchback?
Frankly if you are a mobile printer fixer just get a white Focus estate like everyone else
It's not going to be a work horse, it's going to be my private car also.

You want the impossible, for some reason.

I either have two cars, like a Mondeo TDCI 130 and a 106 Gti
Attempted belittlement from someone who goes round Wales fixing printers in a Saxo. Your going places.
Sounds like you want something similar to what I have - Citroen C4 VTR+ - Really comfortable, feels big inside withoug being all that big, the deisel version is supposed to be efficient (mines petrol though so I have no experience).
You stroll in saying the Astra sucks when you probably haven't even driven one. Follow the 'OCUK Vauhall haters' you sheep.
Why are you getting personal? I'm not a printer a repairer, I haven't seen a printer and I've been doing the job 2 months. See why I don't need a big boot, all I do is carry motherboards, hard disks etc.
