What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

I was a Sekiro nut at the time, finished the entire game practically without prosthetics, then Demon Bell in NG+ cycles:D

Isshin took me around eight tries but I have slightly above average reflexes and pattern reading + some fighting games experience and I can't say that doesn't help:p

The optional Owl Father ruined me for an hour or more of constant trying, though. It's a hard game. Genichiro initially took like 20-30 as well.
I am a certified Souls (and Souls-like) nut all the time :)

Even the somewhat ropey ones I will play through and manage to enjoy.

I didn't really struggle too badly with Sekiro in general, except there was just something about spear-users that threw me off completely. I died more times to spear-wielding minibosses than I did to Genchiro or Owl. And Isshin was like the master spear-user (who also packs a glock), and maaaan I just went through the wringer...

Yup, Isshin the Glock Saint:D Calls himself the Sword Saint, then pulls out a giant-**** spear and a glock on you:P

I was talking about Owl Father, not regular Owl BTW, that one is required for the best ending and he can be quite a handful.

Which do you think is the better game? I don't enjoy Dark Souls games, but happy with souls like when done right.

Elden Ring is the most accessible and forgiving.

But please try Sekiro at some point.

Sekiro is proper skill based combat. You have to dance with the boss.

Elden Ring is tough but you have so much more options it makes it much easier.

If you want proper meaty sword play then Sekiro.

Once I am done with my backlog (it is not that big, I just don't game as much as I used to) I will grab both titles. Well will grab them if I ever see a great deal.

Recently got into PCVR gaming, bought a Quest 2 then a Quest 3 two weeks later, but playing Half Life Alex for the first time and i'm conpletely blown away by it. cant wait to finish it then try some mods / new games.
You finished it yet? How'd you find Jeff? **** that guy....

I'm in the same boat. Got a Q3 and have been playing Alyx, Asgards Wrath & Red Matter.

Alyx is 10/10, Asgards I'm early on and a 8/10, Red Matter 6/10 after Alyx.

Will wait for it to be sub £20. Closer to £15. Game has been out for quite some time now.
I'm struggling to keep at Elden Ring. It's meant to be a master piece but it's just a massive grind so far, pretty but it's all grind. I've never played the previous games so maybe the grind is the game? The platforming is utterly terrible in particular.

I am actually not sure if I will get it. Might just only get sekiro. Might even skip that as I feel like returnal broke something in me and I just can't be asked to keep dying over and over trying again and again.

Think we're about 85% of the way through on our co-op run through of Lords of the Fallen now, so almost finished that. Also currently on the go is Cities 2, Alan Wake 2 and Talos Principle 2 for when I'm after some slower cerebral gameplay. Coming up at the start of December is Steamworld Build and Warhammer Rogue Trader.

Lol, Jeff was alright tbh, He killed me once, but I was lobbing Bottles all over the place lol.. Finished it last night, moving on to Walking dead next.

It's nice to see such a large list of games I've not played, Vr will keep be busy long past Xmas I feel.

40's here

Call of duty - because I don't need to learn new key binds and actually keeps me sharp due to fast pace

Fortnite - because my son loves it and we play 2 player at weekends

That's it :D

Hitman 3 is my go-to currently....

I have Diablo 4 on the shelf, finished season 1 but didn't take to season 2 after the first hour or so... shame as I played Diablo 2 A LOT!
