What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Thought I'd try Fort Solis for £15 on Steam as it's on offer, I like the genre so why not.

Load up game, see ultrawide res in settings, think "awesome"

Start game....... it's in 16:9

The hilarious part is that the loading activity indicator is on the lower right of the screen, so the game's aware of ultrawide and makes use of it.... when loading the game save only

Refunded!

Reactions: TNA
Playing ghost of Tsushima at the moment, it's a pretty decent and well optimised game so would recommend to anyone who has a ps5 (think it's included in the ps plus games to), multiplayer am playing on mw3 at the moment.

Civ 6. Still. It is no longer a challenge. I know how AI manages every situation, and can easily win on Deity difficulty with any leader. I am so looking forward to Civ 7.

41 now :/ Playing Quake 2 remastered. Still my no1 FPS. Wish they would remake Quake 4, massively underrated! I installed it recently but it hasn't aged well.

Any recommendations for similar FPS? I finished Black Mesa not so long ago and that is one of the best remakes I've played in years.

I'm 59 and am currently playing 2042, SE5 & FH5 regularly.
I have the HL remakes and Wolfensteins also installed for a bit of retro variety now and then.

53 and addicted to RDR2

Just coming to the end of a second play through, this time on PC (my first was on console), such an amazing looking game in places, it's hard to believe it's from 2018!

After that I'm going back to Elden Ring, although it's the first game I've ever had to follow a walk through for... fair play to those that manage without, although I expect many of them have more free time than I do!

Currently not playing anything, I've hit a bit of a rut recently and nothing is grabbing my attention. I miss having something like War Thunder to play with the lads but wanting something with a great story single player like RDR2 which I've played to death

Been through a rut for what seems like a couple of years lol forced myself to play some online shooters like bf2042 and the modern cod mw2...but realised they were just not as good as older games, been playing bf5 recently and getting a little enjoyment but can get boring.

Then got a switch oled for xmas and been absolutely LOVING mario wonder, its the first game ive played in what seems like years ive actually loved, its just pure fun! im thinking of buying boulders gate 3 on pc as think that it might scratch my single player story driven pc itch
but ive not looked to much into it, if its a relatively hard game i may give it a miss lol but if its not too bad then i think i may buy it as the story in it is supposed to be AMAZING!

Maybe give it a go yourself if you havent already played it as it really is supposed to be great.

I'm with you there, i've got so many games i've not played yet, but im lacking any motivation to start them. Games don't seem to grab me like they used to. Keep finding myself having some gaming time and instead of starting anything new i just sit there and pew some people on CS deathmatch servers for a bit instead.

Really really struggle to build up the motivation to start a game. The first 30 minutes of any game feels like the most cumbersome to get through, if it catches me then im hooked for ages. If it doesn't, i might never load it up again. Last game to really catch my attention was horizon zero dawn, but that feels like a long time ago now.

Got Days gone and god of war in my games list installed but not bothered loading either yet......

I don't think it helps that every game I've been interested in since RDR2 has been disappointing at launch like Cyberpunk and Starfield. Most games just feel the same now. You know exactly what you're going to get from most developers. I keep leaning towards getting a sim rig set up of some description because I enjoy racing games but I lack the space and cash to do it justice.

Yeah, I've taken the odd screen-shot as it's just so atmospheric.

I will replay this one day as an evil Arthur, this playthrough I'm being as good as I can be (very hard sometimes!) - it sucks how it takes ages to gain rep and then one small thing and you take a chunk away lol
