What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

38 here and don't play anything multi player due to the ridiculous amount of time needed to get anywhere or do anything.

Single player games, I'm currently playing Dying Light and have just finished Mad Max, The Talos Principle Road to Gehenna and Arkham Knight.

All fillers until FO4 though would love to get my hands on another first person puzzler in the vein of Portal / Talos Principle if anyone has any suggestions?

Nothing much at the moment on the PC. Project Cars for a couple of hours a week with some friends, but otherwise playing on Xbox/PS4. Waiting for Fallout 4 (for PC).

It's nice to see that there are others who share my mindset. I used to be completely immersed into the world of any given game I was playing. However, these days, I find my mind wavering or losing interest (thinking about adult life stuff when I should be enjoying my 'game' time).

Multiplayer is proving to be a challenge for me too - too many youngsters grappling with emotional intelligence (or lackthereof) and it can get a little frustrating at times..

I was quite surprised to see that many people play CS. I used to play this quite a lot a number of years ago, but lost interest when cheats were commonplace. Does CS:GO have problems with cheats etc? I may get back into this..

Interested in getting together online for a race or two on Project Cars? My t500rs has had little use since I’ve bought it..

I’m interested in team dynamics, playing CS more strategically/cooperatively, does this appeal to anyone? Wouldn’t mind getting into CS a little more as it is a classic game..

Is QuakeLive still going? I may try getting back into that for a bit. Not played any games in about a year. I just struggle with tiem and then motivation.

40 here

Wasteland 2
Supreme Commander/Forged Alliance
Dead State
Prison Architect
Football Manager 2012/14
Destiny (ps4)
GTA 5
Witcher 3
PES 16
Dying Light

Really can't see myself losing interest in gaming as I get older, just sold the desktop to make room for a child :D so bought a gaming laptop to satisfy the buzz.

37 here, and I don't do multiplayer either. Firstly, I have nowhere near enough time to dedicate to it, and secondly gaming for me was always more of an escape so anything other than single player kinda ruins the immersion for me.

From a single player perspective I've lost my way a bit with most games. Witcher 3 I love though...by far the best game I've played in a very long time. Also I'm loving Telltale games right now too. They're immersive, story focused and not too time consuming.

Alien Isolation is another I really enjoyed too. Second only to Witcher 3 in my opinion for best game of the last 5 years or so.

A lot seem to be focusing now on the multiplayer experience so that might explain my current lack of interest. I just grew up in a different era of gaming I guess.

Looking forward to Ride Of The Tomb Raider and Fallout 4 though!

Still like the old stuff.

Commando's and roller tycoon currently. One or two newer games I played this year, Shadow of Mordor, Now trying the latest dragon age.

Crashed through 40 last year, gaming never really gets old when you pick and choose. So much of the industry these days is designed to play on anxieties, one godsend is you become immune with age.

Battlefield 3

What I do is see which English speaking players are playing the game on Twitch, find them, join the opposite team and listen to their reactions when they constantly die from me. Only problem is the sound sync delay so I need to turn down game volume.

That's hilarious!

I'm pretty much the same, although I used to play early 2000s MMOs many years ago :p

I like the ability to pause a SP game and wander off to make a brew. Or take the cat out. Or watch 5 mins of the news.

Many MP games force you to keep playing for a certain length of time before there is any possibility of taking a break.

Plus the fact that almost all MP games these days are based around grinding for something. Griding for points, for rep, for money, for whatever. A SP game can be story focused, and does not need to keep players involved with forced grinds.

34 here, playing through the Borderlands franchise again, stopped playing Online games years ago, except fifa clubs, MMO's have really died off nothing good since WOW vanilla.

Would love to play an casual MMO where you don't get penalized for not having the best gear. as Im not in the position to put hours after hours per week.
