Whats wrong with showing her love and affection all year round AND going to town on one day a year as well? It's a bit of fun. Sure its commercialised but our entire lives are commercialised. Who cares?
People who have rational girlfreinds and are good with money.
So only people with irrational girlfriends and/or who are 'bad' with money can enjoy and like valentines day?
I just ordered some flowers to be sent to her work on Friday saying, "love you lots etc etc...... i will be outside your house at 6:30 in a taxi, wear something nice, see you soon".
As far as she is aware we are not doing anything, ha. It annoying its Friday instead of Saturday, we'll have a good time though.
She thinks we are staying in and chilling out. bless

I wont be doing anything, I have to stick to my principles.
I don't expect anything either, again for the same reasons.
It's more awesome when you don't expect it like a greedy selfish pig, hyping up a special day which in all honesty, would be better if you did it at the spur of a moment.
It would mean more to him/her rather than on an expected day, don't dare disagree because you know I'm right on that last bit

If she has a head ache or isn't in the mood then so be it, I'll rebook/cancel and do it another time.
However according to you, it has to be this saturday and you're a bit silly if you think she can't have a headache this saturday, or be in the mood.
Maybe think a little more Fox before writing something so easily one upped, let's not get off to a bad start here.
