What are you doing for Valentines?

My other half insisted that I didn't need to get anything, but I'll be picking up a bunch of flowers and making her a card.

I just can't even force myself to feel special when it's on a day millions of other people are trying, honestly.

Its a nice gesture and I probably don't do it enough, its the sentiment that counts. Now is as good a time as any. I'm not the type who likes the commercialisation of holidays etc.

Remember kids, when using the internet you should remember its cool to:

a) Hate Christmas
b) Hate Valentines Day
c) Hate any other popualar holiday
d) Hate any large company, double points for Microsoft
e) Pretend you are cool because you are different

Good point, true.
But, again for me sentiments don't even come into it, I just think Oh you couldn't think for yourself?

I know, I know, I am acting like or being a grumpy old man.
It's just a discussion and I'm answering to the question, no hard feeling, all a-ok.. :)

What if I genuinely do? It's not cool at all. Maybe you think it is.
It's called an opinion, which I am allowed to voice. You're just being difficult now!

Spoilers: Everyone is different, sound like you think everyone should be the same.

Ah, but then presumably your wife\girlfriend loves you for who you are, so I couldn't really say...:p if [TW]Fox can have love, I'm sure you manage just fine :)

Like PC parts?

Cue Eff Tee!

I actually bought myself a new logitech keyboard and revolution mouse the other day :D V-Day doesn't need lavish gifts to show how much you love your partner, if they or you think it does - you have to be pretty misinformed.

Nothing says happy v-day more than whipping out your wang and rotating it around a bit infront of her - The best things in life are free!

We're not doing anything, the missus doesn't see the point and neither do I. Usually buy flowers and things throughout the year so don't feel the need to buy/do something just because it's the 14th of February. Seeing everyone going about doing exactly the same thing takes the soul out of something romantic anyway.

One year I did something and she just about killed me with rage so never again. At best she'll get a salami baguette, minus the baguette...and not quite salami.

Perhaps not you, but I know what Fox is getting at. You frequently get the distinct impression that people don't actually mind something, but have a pop at it just to get a reaction / they are bored / they have nothing better to do / they fancy a wind up / its "just not 2009" to like whatever it is.

Its gonna be pretty grim this weekend i think. I broke it off with the GF last weekend and all my mates seem to out with the GFs.

So dunno what to do really... :(

booked a french restaurant in central london, thats all really... been so busy with university and other stuff so im stuck for ideas what else to do. :P
