What book are you reading...

Been absolutely storming through the Dark Tower series for the past two weeks. Finished The Gunslinger, Drawing of the Three, The Wastelands, Wizard and the Glass, and currently 150~ odd pages into Wolves of Calla. Nice to see a certain priest again, I wonder what he's been up to since the Lot.

Just a quick query though; whereabouts in the series does Little Sisters of Eluria come in?

thanks for the recommendation, the first book was ok, but the second and third were excellent, currently 90% through the third book.

i think the conn igguldon conqueror series is next

Glad you enjoyed them.:)

I read Conn Iggulden's Julius Caesar books and thought they were pretty good. Definitely felt very familiar if you've read some Bernard Cornwell.

Just ordered Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. Loving his stuff, recently finished The Way of Kings and the Mistborn Trilogy.

Just finished reading all the Alex Cross and Michael Bennett novels by James Patterson.

Now reading "Judge and Jury"

They don't - well not worth mentioning anyway. I still think Drawing, Calla, and the final book are the best. Bringing in Callahan was the highlight of the whole series for me, and it needed it.

Redcoat by Bernard Cornwell. A stand alone novel about the American war of independence.

I've read a lot of Cornwell but I seem to be struggling to get into this for some reason

Just finished HHhH, the story of Operation Anthropoid: the mission to assassinate Reinhard Heydrich, 'the hangman of Prague'. It is an absolutely fascinating story, and interestingly written too. I'd describe it as the story of the author writing the book. It's had mainly positive reviews but there have been some mixed ones, partly because people just expect a straight forward novel. Perhaps they've missed the point of the book and why it's written the way it is. It may not be to everyone's taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and read it in 6 days (very quick for me!).

I finished CoK, decided to read Paper Towns while i wait for SoS to arrive. And wow. It may be long, but it took me months to get through CoK. I've finished the first part of Paper Towns in two days, and it's occupied a large portion of my mind in them.

Just finished The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and about to start The Restaurant at the end of the Universe. Fancied a re-read.

Funny I was just thinking of having another read through them whilst sitting here pondering which book to take to work with me tonight. In fact, I am not sure I read them all.

Just been re-reading American Gods, I still have Game of thrones book 5 and rise and fall of the third reich to finish. I always have a few books on the go at once depending on what mood I am in.
I see that a lot of people like the Rome style books. I can recommend Coleen McCulloughs Rome series of books they are very good and well written.

Loved American Gods! Reading another of the Wallander novels by Henning Mankell at the mo, really good series.

Finished the Dark Tower series last week, the final book, wow. Not too sure about the ending though, particulary the bit concering Roland.

Just started reading The Stand so I could read a bit more about Randall Flagg. I don't half get paranoid reading it every time I have a sniffle or have to cough though!
