What book are you reading...

Giving Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson another go. Got distracted by reading all Martins books in one go last time. 10 good sized books with plenty of character should do for a while.

I'm actually reading a self help book at the minute.

The One Minute Salesperson by Spencer Johnson. I found it whilst clearing out my spare room, think it came from my Dads house. It's actually pretty interesting, and nice toilet reading.

When I finish the last chapter of Cosmos, those lovely taxpaying fellows at amazon have just sent me The Count of Monte Cristo (penguin classics) by Alexandre Dumas (Robin Buss translation).
An 'epic tale of suffering and revenge' ...sounds great :p

Just read the first Mark Lawrence book in a day, really good read, not perfectly put together but a great debut.

Onto finishing Underbogs by Zusak now.

Epic series. Last book is out beginning of Jan.
I'm struggling like mad with book five. I think I'm suffering from George Martin withdrawal symptoms. I need a month off work so I can sit down and force my way through this and the last of the Thomas Covenant books. That hardback (cost me all of £2.50!) has been hanging around my shelf for a while. As has the second in Hamilton's Void series.

I think I need a literary enema.

I'm reading Pandora's Star at the moment....I'm enjoying it.

Reading American Gods... admittedly quite slowly. It's a very interesting book, with a quite 'Pratchett-esque' view on religion. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

American Gods is a great read.

Neverwhere and Stardust are just as good (possibly better) and Anansi Boys is a good read too.

I'm listening to Joe Abercrombie's The Blade Itself.

If you are on audible credits it's a great listen Steven Pacey is a excellent narrator.

Just finished the first Witcher book. I'm not going to try and spell the authors name from memory :p
Really enjoyed it. It's a group of short stories that are sort of strung together by insert chapters.
It has a much dryer sense of humour than the games. Geralt can be proper sarky. He's also much more reluctant to draw a sword.
Recommended if you enjoyed the Night Watch novels.

Half way through a re-read of WoT Towers of Midnight in prep for the final book next month.

How many books are there in the The Game of Thrones series and in what order to they run? Getting confused as there seems to be either 5 or 7, depending on how you look at it :o

Edit: think I found it, does this look correct?

A GAME OF THRONES
A CLASH OF KINGS
A STORM OF SWORDS, 1: STEEL AND SNOW
A STORM OF SWORDS, 2: BLOOD AND GOLD
A FEAST FOR CROWS
A DANCE WITH DRAGONS, 1: DREAMS AND DUST
A DANCE WITH DRAGONS, 2: AFTER THE FEAST

Yes, that's the order. It's easy enough to find the volumes split into two parts as one book. Then there are only 5. Admittedly of ~1000 pages each though.
