What book are you reading...

Yes, that's the order. It's easy enough to find the volumes split into two parts as one book. Then there are only 5. Admittedly of ~1000 pages each though.

Yeah, they're quite epic!

Was thinking of picking up the complete set on my kindle for £29.99.

Just finished the Hunger games trilogy, really enjoyed them.
Now about 40% through James Clavells' Shogun, and i am finding it excellent so far

I will be reading, A Memory of Light by Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan after January 8th 2013.

Yes, I can see the future :)

re-reading The Forever War. I want to continue the series and it has been so long since I first read it that I thought I would reacquaint myself with it all.

I am considering re-reading the ASOIAF series, though I am not sure if I will yet. There are so many theories and everything that I do want to try and get my head around all of them and decide what I actually believe before the next book. And if I start now, I can take it slowly and read something along side it.

Got 16 books to read after Christmas :o

Finished one (Death in Breslau - Marek Krajewski, very good book!) and almost throught he second (Rec Country, Joe Abercrombie, very good again but not sure if its as good as some of his others) probably move onto The Good Soldier Svejk by Hasek next. :)

Busy busy :)

First book in the Alex Verus series, Fated by Benedict Jacka. Not bad, especially if you like Jim Butcher.

To whoever mentioned Robert Rankin, I thank you. After reading Hollow Chocolate Bunnies and Snuff Fiction, I am quite convinced that Rankin is absolutely stark raving mad.

Which is excellent. Fantastic writing.

Finished SM Stirling's Emberverse series (Dies the Fire etc), and read the first two 'Changes' books (leading straight on from the Dies the Fire books). I cannot stress how much his books are a must read. A seriously fascinating look into the 'what if's' of a world suddenly deprived of things that we use the most.

Was reading A Dance with dragons, 1: Dreams and Dust

But forgot to grab it when i went to parents for christmas (GRRR)

Bought and read Apache by ed macy. Great read but short.

Nothing.

It is less than a week until the final Wheel of Time book comes out. I am far too busy mentally preparing myself for it.

However I just finished reading Enders Game again, love it.

When I've finished The Count of Monte Cristo, i have two books by Robert E Howard to read:
The Right Hand of Doom & other tales of Solomon Kane.
The Haunter of the Ring & other tales.

Starting on the WoT series and got to Book 6 of the WoT series - Lord of Chaos, about halfway through and bored as hell as literally nothing is going on :-/

Dunno if I'll continue, might skip over to the Mistborn trilogy which is on my to-read list.

You could say the same of Game of Thrones. Some long Yawn moments in that.

Just got through Sandersons Way of Kings and loved every moment of it. Beautifully constructed fantasy.

1000 pages long and the first in a planned 10-novel series. Jesus.

This lunchtime I started Lee Child's 'One Shot'. I love the Jack Reacher books and this is starting off just as good if not better than most.

Thought I'd get this one read before I see Tiny Tom as Reacher.

x2. I think that the Way of Kings series will be one of the 'big' series, up there with Wheel of Time and so on by it's finished. Top quality writing, and nothing too cliché about it. It's all very fresh and really enjoyable to read.

Wait! What?! How many of the Way of Kings will there be?? I started reading it thinking there were only two books :o Great, another series in which I will forget all what happens when the next installment is released :p
