Not really. A platform is only as good as its games and the PC doesn't really have anything, nor has it had much in the last 30 months.
I concur. Sold my PC for something miles better. A mac and a PS3.

Not as renlentless or tiresome as your constant ignorance. In what way am I a fanboy? Please, someone must let me know.
Is a games console without any good games a good console? It is games that make a format, whether it be Xbox360, Playstation3, PC, DS, PSP or Wii.
Really you didn't need to write all of that to explain your point Mr.LOL. Everyone knows that consoles can output better quality graphics...etc with lesser hardware compared to a PC because it's a dedicated, optimized gaming system

Besides.... we all know in a few years the next generation of consoles will be out ps4 etc so you just sell the ps3 and get the ps4 (backward compatibility etc)
I was referring to this part of that quote:
As far as I can tell you just said the PC doesn't have any decent games, and that it hasn't had much in the last 30 months, which I find hilarious to be quite honest.
MrLol
While I agree with the principal of your long post wouldnt you agree that its probably in Intel's interests also for Windows to continue being bloatware - simply because with every new iteration of the OS Intel sells a truckload of brand new chips to run the thing!!!
Interesting that you put FPS games on the PC side. Seems you, like many others, seem to write FPS off on consoles, which is plain wrong. FPS works on both.
you've got a point
intel didnt exactly fight for this revolution did they ? they designed a blueprint, suggested it. got told no and went "oh ok then" and carried out churning more silicon.
i dare say it would be different, it intel + amd threatened to move over to entirely mac in a joint venture to create a new platform
but they wont, so untill then MS can dictate to them what they can and cant do.
games consoles are like a McDonalds meal
while
a PC is like 3 course meal in an expensive restaurant
FPS are best on PC
dedicated servers
mods
keyboard and mouse
higher resolution
higher frame rates

Until the next generation...
I fully expect Xbox 3 / PS4 to have every game at 1920x1080 resolution for those with 1080p TVs. This is enough to beat most PCs. Gaming at 1920x1200 is rare even for the PC world at this moment in time (just 1% of Steam users). A quick shufty on the Valve / Steam hardware survey shows 75% of users gaming at 1280x800 or less (I am surprised by that!)
mods (mods mean the original game is inferior)
higher resolution (console FPS are built around single resoltuion so why would you need to go any higher)
higher frame rates (if everybody has the same frame rates on a console the playing field is level)
does offer dedicated servers.
no it doesnt, its not set up like that. the cell helps the rsx, not the other way 'round. the cell helps with shaders ect.
