What car?? Bored of Type R

I think so yes. I saw my old clutch which had pretty much had it. The prelude had just had a new one fitted before it was crashed so I guess they fitted that to my gearbox.

Which reminds me, when I get my new tyres fitted I'll test to see if it does have the LSD...

The clutch goes on the engine.

Yeah I was thinking about this last night, but I think it makes sense to just keep it standard as possible and save up for a faster car.

The suggestions made have either been too expensive, or not to your taste.

You obvioulsy like the ATR or else you wouldn't have bought it, so why not spend the money you have improving it, and fettling it to how you like? V-TEC controller maybe?

 did you have 2 pugs?

Hello mate

Pug 1 306 1.9 DTurbo (1st car- R.I.P):

Only image of that one that I've got. Looks quite pink in the photo.

Pug 2 205 1.4 GT (2nd car - R.I.P) Actually sold this to Westy. I loved this car!!

Pug 3 (4th car) 205 1.8 DT Had fitted GTi springs to the front which made it rock solid but the rear was a bit...boaty. And GTi front brakes. Didn't cost much but it all needed replacing so I upgraded.

Pug 4 (5th car) 1.4 Rallye

Fitted a sunstrip, loud exhaust which I couldn't be bothered to remove after I fitted it. Used to burble and pop when you are off the throttle all the way down to idle that I liked but was too loud and eventually put standard box back on. Still popped as standard :D

Fitted a different carb which had a slightly larger 2nd choke with a K&N bolt-on and larger jet. And eventually some 1.6 GTi rims and sunstrip lol

Ah i see whats happened now, you've bought so many pugs that its cursed you for life when it comes to car reliability :D

If it was me and i had a garage etc, i'd buy another ATR and keep the old one for spare parts etc. You can't be that unlucky twice! Tbh i found the ATR so easy to drive even compared to say..a CTR with 6 speed stick.

However, having read plenty of your posts it sounds like you don't want a vtec car at all or even a turbo.

Thinking about the 5k budget it'd prolly rule out a 3-series but you'd probably love a 530i with all the power low down the range, or even a 523i / 528i as its not like you can hear the engine anyway and they all shift in a similar fashion :p

I've had my MR2 Rev 3 Turbo and i love it. It always brings a smile to my face when i drive it. Such good fun to drive. Had a few hairy moments being winter and the weather but nothing i haven't been able to sort out with a bit of throttle control :D

£5k should get you an absolute corcker of a Rev 3 turbo. I would look at going rev 3 as they have a few upgrades done to the engine over the rev 2.

Mine is only pushing stock boost at the moment due to the weather and still getting used to it but i can wind the boost up when ever i want with the in car boost contoller. They are quick cars as standard and the ct20b sounds mental when on full boost. a Few mods will see 300bhp pretty easy on the rev 3 too.

Here is a pic of mine
