What desktop speakers are you using?

For my PC, using the a 5.1 box kit from Sony, Sony BDV-N5200W. Not too bad to be honest, got it cheap from rainforest warehouse with scratch on AV receiver for £220 down from £350. Rear speakers mounted to wall behind me and and sub under desk. Speakers are not massive as one would expect, but combined with the sub, there is enough impact and the immersion from the rear speakers adds to it, sounds solid for room its in. Also have a number of headphones and AMP/DAC stack for headphone listening.

Have a dedicated HTPC build in living room as I often find myself gaming more on the big screen there I have a 5.1 separate system which is more substantial.

Edifier 1850BT. Looking to add in a subwoofer soon .They are incredible for the size/performance. If I could have, I would have gone the KEF Q100 route but they were too big.

how is the gemini sub? im thinking about grabbing it for the xls200./ i miss the rumble of my home cinema at the desk.

I use the Gemini purely for music and it's fine for most stuff. It sounds very clean/tight but there's only usable output to 35hz or so, very sharp rolloff after that so not enough for action movies and such.

I have a set of Corsair SP2500 i think they are, they are no longer set up as i have only used them a handfull of times in the past 2 years but they were highly reviewed a when they came out.
Corsair no longer make them but you may be able to get one second hand for a decent price.

Still using these, they are pretty old now but working perfectly.

I use a pair of JBL LSR305 and a pair of Mackie MR824 and depending on the mood change them between my TV and my PC both are powered studio monitors, and I think they are pretty great, dont really have room for surround.

I'm currently using the fronts and sub from a Cambridge Soundworks DTT2200 5.1 system that I got around 16 years ago. However, I ordered a set of B Grade Edifier S2000 Pros from Overclockers which should be here tomorrow.

I took a bit of a punt on them as they were £239 instead of £399 for new ones. Here's hoping they're ok. Was originally going to get the Edifier S1000DB until i saw the B Grades, which hopefully turn out to be a steal for that money.

The Edifier S2000 Pros arrived this afternoon and apart from a couple of signs they've been opened and returned I cannot believe I got them for £239 !!
I've not gamed with them yet, just been messing about with some music tracks and they sound so good. So happy with them, even though I may have pulled overclockers pants down with that deal !!
