Yesterday left a deposit on this :)
Don't worry I'll have some better pictures as soon as I get it home :smashin:

13 plate SV560S with 132 miles on it  Crash bungs, fairing lowers, Datatool S4 alarm and will see about hugger, front fender extender thrown in too

Yesterday I left a deposit on this :)

Very nice!
That was my original choice, but couldn't find one :(

Replace that exhaust, remove baffle, enjoy the beauty that is the sound of a V-Twin :)

Nice wheels dude, tho i think i would've been inclined to go for a slightly older sv1000, as it probably won't take long for you to start hankering for some thing with a little more umph!.

By slightly older you mean 6 years? Didn't they stop making them in 2007? Lovely bikes, shame they stopped them.

Lol yeah ide forgotten they'd stopped making them way back in 07, still, i would've taken the time to hunt out a low mileage SV1000, just to give my self some thing to grow into as it were.

Bike hasn't been idling nicely recently, bit of hunting going on which isn't that uncommon the GSXR 1000, but anyway got a date with the bike tomorrow afternoon :D

New spark plugs to go in, checking the TPS and hopefully having a go at syncing the throttle bodies :)

Then on saturday morning she is off to Crescent Suzuki for the master cylinder recall.

So main goal was to sync throttle bodies, that was a fail, the tubing on this digital one was too big and I had nothing to hand to reduce it, and its fiddle as hell, the vaccum nipples are in a really awkward place, I think next time with more time I will take off the throttle bodies and get easy access, attach it up then reinstall and go from there....

But I did get the new spark plugs in and after a nightmare getting off OE exhaust bolts got the new exhaust fitted, only 2 out of the 8 original rusty ones came loose, the rest were extracted....

The new exhaust and headers though..... oh my god its noisy, I think it actually sounds louder than a racefit growler but not sure need to get side by side with someone who has one again.... I think its too loud for everyday use though, the only sound I can compare it to is the first gen WSBK BMW S1000RR, when I heard them coming down the pit straight that angry growl... :D
I will try and get a video on saturday but I imagine like normal the sound will distort and be useless.

I will be doing, going down to look at it again tomorrow to get measurements to fit a ground anchor before i pick it up and will ask about what they can do can-wise for me. This bike will last me at least 3 years though whoever mentioned me wanting more oomph. I'm sure I will do, but this will be restricted for at least 2 years :(

Will be getting a rear hugger, and front fender extender ASAP to keep that downpipe protected

suggestions for which can? None massively jump out at me at the moment, poswsibly the delkevic stubby..?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTJ7ERUjyYo

Delkevic sound nice on the sv and they're pretty cheap, I had a set of scorpions on mine when I got it and they sound ok. Might be worth having a look at the new scorpion can looks pretty nice imo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyolGRo10GA

Oh another thing I forgot is replace those crash bungs for the R&G ones as soon as you can. The OEM ones you have on will crack the fairings quite badly and they're only supported by a small curved bar.

I'd rather only have to replace a £30-40 bung then £450 fairing kit and for me the SV R&G bungs have been proven by a friend sliding down the road at 60 and only had to replace the bung, lever, bar end and foot peg quite impressive imo.

Fuel are ok but on the budget end of things, sounded great but didn't hold up to well sliding down the road :(

Not sure what to make of the angel lights, do you want under bike neons to go with it :p

you have to heatup and split the headlight though to get them installed, which is a messy job due to the black adhesive they use

arrow make some good sounding cans

the angel lights were just n idea, i probably won't get them due to having to split the plastic sorta stuff, don't fancy doing any of that to be honest.

Hopefully the can won't have to hold up well to sliding down the road :p and the scorpion is £300 :( Looked at some arrows on youtube but didnt sound anything special. Can't really get a good idea using youtube though :(

I'd avoid a stubby personally, they make quite a harsh hollow sound without the baffle in rather than a nice deep V-Twin noise. I also can't stand the huge tail pipe look, but that's obviously a personal thing.

I had a Delkevic stainless can, and couldn't fault either the quality or sound, though I don't think I'd go for a shiny stainless can again. Then again MIVV make some very lovely products, and they may be getting my custom in the near future.

Also have a look at Simmi who make a decent range of styles and are well built (UK manufacturer).
