What did you do to your bike today?

I had a bad one I only rode over a catseye at speed, then I fitted a steering damper, much better now

idk why you still had one? they do need rebuilding from time to time though as they leak oil when the seals wear out

my zx6 doesn't tank slap at all

It was on a Ducati 748, the steering damper worked, but it wasn't the greatest. Some twit removed the original and had fit a cheap Chinese aftermarket one. I never got round to replacing it.

A woman pulled out in front of me (dual carriage way) into my lane as I was going at a brisk speed, I hit the front brakes and locked up for a split second. All down hill from there... Some how I managed to stay on the bike and it wasn't really shattered, just a fracture. Bloody hurt though :(

What size noggin are you?

I'm a 56, yet my small helmet is still a little too big :(

I did something newby and assumed because my HJC IS-16 is a Small then so would the Shoei XR-1100! Couldn't even get it on the top of my head

Just measured and I'm a 57 so will be trying a medium (56-58) next!

Think my head size is 56/57cm, I've got a Medium Shoei Qwest which is good for me.

use a tape measure round your head, the material ones or even a builders one just to give you a rough idea, thats what I do

I take a medium I think

Turned the bike on this morning to find out that the headlight, dash backlight and breaklights weren't working. Somehow the 15a fuse blew overnight. I replaced it with the spare and that blew 5 minutes down the road .

Going to have to take it in to the dealer tomorrow morning, luckily the bike's still under warranty so I won't be out of pocket.

Took the fun way home from work today, noticed the kids on the back of the school minibus waving and gave them a massive wave back before dropping down a couple and blaring past them. :p

Their expressions were priceless, put a big grin on me too haha. First time I've had an opportunity like that in my short time biking.

Had the whole day out on mine today just for the sheer hell of it rather than because I had to use it to go somewhere fast.
Was a lovely day out & I popped in to the place I'm going to take it for an MOT next month just to show my face. Don't know what we've done to get this good weather but I'm loving dipping in to a bend without worrying what the exit is like. :p

Ouch Fireskull, also saw the video. Glad my crash wasn't that bad!

Today I covered the Bandit in WD40 to make it look shiny and clean for the hire company :p

Hornet back tomorrow. Will hopefully get on and ride straight away, no idea what state the chain etc. will be in.

Today I polished & rode my precious Hornet! It's back with a new rad. Loving it. So much better than the Bandit, I can actually feel the road & have some power :D

Time to treat it to a Scottoiler.

Also fitted the whisper kit to my Shoei XR-1100. Well worth it, so much quieter.

Did start the job of replacing the front disc pads but bloody demon tweeks sent me 2 left sides. Lucky I started with the right side and found the problem before I'd done the left side, so old pads back in for now

Washed yesterday, oil & filter change today.

I love the first ride after an oil change, that extra smooth feeling especially on gear changes.

Decided to make the most of the sun early this morning after getting up to watch the F1. Fitted a pair of Michelin PR4's in the week, so a gentle(ish) country ride was in order to scrub them in. Pulled over 10 miles up the road to check all was good with tyres etc. Took a few pics, checked phone, suited back up, jumped on bike, hit starter, spun over half a dozen times and battery died...

Had to be rescued by other half :o

Suffice to say I went straight back home. Motorbikes...
