What did you do to your bike today?

Came back from a trip up to Manchester. Going through Peak District, bopping through Buxton etc. then across to manc... I'd forgotten how in the north the chevron signs for corners actually mean a sharp corner - down in the south they tend to mostly mean "think about leaning slightly >>> that way".

Fitted TomTom Rider V5.

It's actually very annoying I can't play music through it. :( Half tempted to go back to my Zumo 500.

Oh, and had a good old hoon up to Woburn and back with friends.

Went for a proper good little run this weekend with my girlfriend on the back. She did great!

We went to South London them up into London it's self to stay with her mates for the night last night. Then this morning we ventured right into central London. Mainly to test my GPS. Overall around 6 hours on the bike this weekend. Pretty impressed with the GPS! Does a bloody great job.

All set now for the spring meet!

Nice.

Is it exactly the same as changing a tube on a cycle?

Very much.

Put the bike up on the center stand to get the wheel off, broke the bead by putting the wheel under the side stand and use the bike as a lever.

Quick tube swap, tire on, took ages to get enough pressure to pop the bead though, about 75psi. Not as daunting as i thought it would be.:)

Had one of those experiences whilst out today which you don't realise happened until a few seconds later when you piece it back together & work out what the **** happened.
Was making progress on one of the quiet roads I know & I saw what can only be described as a Hawks wing or an Owl, God knows as all I saw was a flash of it as it passed from right to left across my visor. I don't know exactly what it was I just know how close it was, All I remember is this brown, thorn speckly kind of wing or body, I don't know. :p

Apart from that just your normal day out on ya bike. :D

My girlfriend got her on the leg by one for the first time!

So funny as we have comms "Oh god! Just got hit by a stone..." "You mean a bumblebee?" "WHAT? Those ****ers hurt!".

lol

Something you want to tell us? :D

Been trying to set up the throttle bodies and idle mixture on the Benelli this weekend, didn't quite go to plan as the TuneEcu app kept disconnecting from the ECU. Looks like there is a grounding mod I need to make to the OBD adapter to fix this.

On a different note, anyone used the Metzeler Z8 Interact tyres? I want to replace the oversized trackday tyres on the Torndao as they are rubbish until warmed up and the 200/55 rear that the previous owner jammed on is almost touching the chain. The Metzelers seem to get outstanding reviews.

I had the same but hit the pigeon....

Some one I did know many years ago had a pheasant hit him in the face and part of the beak was still in bedded just under his eye in his cheek.

Unfortunately he has passed away not due to accident tho.

Also I remember ridding pillion and friend came buy and as he was passing us I looked at him and a stone flicked up and hit him in the face due to the wind it looked like the wound was opining in slow motion kinda freaky.

We all used open faces back then.

Little things hurt at speed :D

Got my Shoei XR-1100 today, (a size that fits this time :D )
Really not sure where mount the HD Ghost though.. Can't get the adhesive pad anywhere on the side so that its in full contact with the helmet! Only place I can see that it'll stick properly is on the top!

Got the same helmet and same cam, mounted mine on side AND top, prefer the side mounting, just personal preference. Will take some pics and post them for you as reference. :)

Ordered a new battery after it failing on me again. Such disappointing purchases as you never feel the new toy pleasure from these things.
