Haha! You know me too well! If you have experienced a tropical downpour you'll know why! In just a few mins it's like taking your bike through a car wash :O

How's your leg these days? What you riding? Took a Street Triple out the other day and reminded me of you and your love of the triples!

Nearly finished build on friends GS motor as you can see we used copper head gasket sealant, I highly recommend if building older 80s e.t.c motors.

Just shy of 3 shims ,on order tomorrow for next weekend hopefully.

I posted a picture of the finished motor last year but we had problems with a warped head it had all ready been skimmed so not an option found another motor and used top end all fun and games :D

You haven't been on here recently then? :D also have you disappeared from facebook?
I was/am riding a GSXR 1000 K5 but middle of March someone decided to turn across in front of me and I did a somersault off the bike :D

Right knee still buggered but thats just normal now :p hopefully nothing lasting from this recent crash, but left knee has some discomfort.
Still love the triples, almost got a 675 Daytona before the GSXR, the street triple is still in the family but up north with my mum.

Slowly accepting the horrible truth that I NEED to replace my chain that has done over 10,000 miles now... I will do the trip to Wales this weekend then crack on and do it next week.

Urgh. Money. Also, got a tax reminder through, URGH, HATE money.

International, I've done all layouts at Rockingham now and i think the National is the best layout, but the International is better for the 1000cc as you can open it up on the banking.

Video is next few days :p
 
just finished oil/filter change and new generator cover gasket

something doesn't feel right though,clunking sometimes when changing down,it never did that before,ill have to investigate
 
Does anybody have the Shoei Whisper Kit for the XR-1100 / RAID / QWEST helmets? If so, is it worth the money? Get so much wind noise at 40+!

I bought the ear-pads recently and tbh I didn't even notice the difference.

I did the same, got the ear pads and didn't notice much. Got the whisper kit a couple of months ago and it's amazing. Makes it a little tight to get on, but it loosens up over time. Really nice & quiet (and supposedly as quiet as a Schuberth). Well worth the money as I do a 40-50 min commute every day (20-25 mins each way).

As far as neck tube goes, I've got the "Sub Zero Meraklon Thermal Neck Tube Black" and it does a perfect job, good quality as well for £10. I have found since putting the whisper kit on I don't need it as much.

Also, make sure your visor is sealed, there's a switch thingy on the side that has 3 settings - locked, sealed and gap, make sure it's at least sealed and also make sure the screws are tight on the sides. I've read a lot of reports about the visor not quite sealing properly from the factory and so causing more wind noise that normal. Never had the problem myself (I'm on my 2nd XR-1100, thank you insurance), but worth checking.

Holy sh@t Fireskull. That was your crash? Literally saw it the other day on YouTube randomly! Was watching it with my housemate and we were raging with you! Lucky you hit the back and got flung clear.
 
Rode it to the airport because my car wouldn't start. Currently Berlin bound with leathers, helmet and boots on a business trip..
Thankfully no fuss as hand luggage despite me carrying a rucksack already.
Parking was free too.
 
Had someone in their car reverse in to me today, was behind them in some traffic and for some reason they just went ... backwards. Somehow didn't come off but my front tire got wedged between their bumper and the road and I couldn't move. Some scratches on the front mud guard, nothing else.

I went in to panic mode and they just drove away.

I gave mine a good clean this morning a quick polish then went out for a mega long ride, Came back home about 40 minutes ago, Knock on the door ten mins later & a Dude is standing there with my new Stubby. :D

Having a T & a Smoke then off out for a fitting. :cool:
