What did you do to your bike today?

Nice one

Out of interest how much did they charge for bike rental? I've not done a Euro TD yet, mate has done a few and got the itch for it proper now. Just seems a lot of hassle getting the bike out there. Hiring definitely seems the way to go.

@JP, looks great. Almeria is on my list next year with the new track bike.

Seems a fair few of us interested, maybe we should do a OCUK EU trackday? :p

Bought my dream bike almost 4 years ago now, she's been written off once, she's high sided me on icy roads about 2 years ago, I've dropped her once stationary, she's been repaired and still my dream bike, even if I get another I wont be getting rid of it.

If there was a thumbs up smiley, i would be using right now.. so use your imagination :p

So i haven't done anything to my bike in 2 months. It's sat on it's 1jac with its wheels in the air and on a Optimate. I'm gonna drag it out of the garage this weekend and fire it up just to remember what it looks and sounds like. :(

Is it spring yet?! :(

Gave the Super Duke a post winter clean up and check over. Picked up some aftermarket mirrors and levers, cleaned up the cack that collects around the swinging arm and frame, gearbox, usual places etc.

It's done well, much better than a Honda I rode through the winter years ago (to be fair though ACF50 wasn't available in the late 90s). Although I will be taking it to the dealers about a few things I'm not happy with which are known issues. Front and rear brakes are running out of true and the left side panel doesn't fit(!!) it's comical really, I'll see what they say.

Few pics of the levers and mirrors..

Looks great, although i'm not sure on the Mad Max inspired headlight guard :D

Spanked her around Anglesey (yesterday)... what an amazing track. It was even worth the 7hrs in a van to get there! just stunning.

Nice one edd1e. One track I've never been that keen on going to because of the weather (and distance). Looks like you had a good work out there

I was a little worried too, it's a long way for us (4.5hrs with no traffic... or 7hrs in our case.. Birmingham!) but we hit the jackpot, stunning sunshine all day.

As a track it's now easily the best one in the UK I have done. It has a mix or everything and is not flat like a lot of UK tracks. You can also walk around the entire track and you're very close to the action. There is the Sea all around it, it's like a mini Philip Island.

We will be going back for sure :)

Washed her.

18 months of ownership - 7,500 miles. 4 track days, 3 trips to Germany and back, 35+ 8 minute laps of the ring. Simply stunning.

For all the people who seem to think Aprilia's are unreliable, all that has gone wrong is a rear ABS sensor which was replaced under warranty free of charge. My BMW S1000RR did the same number of miles and had many, many more problems. The only bike i would think to replace her with is a Ducati 1299s or 1199R, but i would still keep the Ape' for track either way.

I will be spending some money on her over the winter and tarting her up a bit more :)
