What did you do to your bike today?

That road has multi million dollar houses, they feel it's their duty lol.

Signals act as driving lights, I quite like them as people can actually see me (no one can drive here)

I actually felt like I was a long way over in this... clearly not

*edit* someone took video, that was me entering the corner and not fully leant over :p

Bought some RST aramid jeans and ordered some ankle boots/trainers for the casual ride.
Also bought some RST summer gloves, waterproof over coat and over trousers.

Ran over my own fender extenda, the bloody thing fell off the front guard & went straight under the back wheel!. :p

Ermmmmmm no, I glued it on as I hate drilling holes in my front guard, & this is the first time ive lost one in decades, first time for everything I guess. :D

refitted forks after doing fork seals . refitted front mudguard/bellypan . fitted 15 tooth front sproket (been in my drawer for 2 years :P) I had made some looms with the resistors for the front indicators so fitted them and tested !

Wiped the wheels down with wd40 and cleaned all the old gunk of the chain and relubed and adjusted .

So should be good for the bike club Wednesday !

Stripped and reassembled Akropovic system with sealer to get rid of leaks at the headers. Stripped front brakes to free off a couple of sticky pistons.
Bought a new battery, the old one decided to keel over and die.
Fabricated a mount for my TomTom rider as I've lost the original. Took WAY longer than I hoped.
Started packing for a trip up to Donnington for the Ron Haslam race school, off tomorrow at about 8 so need to get up early and finish it off.

Cleaned mine on Monday. SDOC is awesome. Sprayed that on, left for a bit, hosed off, then cleaned with Meguire's soap and waxed with some Autoglym. Almost better than when it came from the factory :D

The SDOC alone pretty much did a good enough job if I was feeling lazy. Only using in hard to reach places as it's expensive.

Then I rode it home (no hose at my house, so had to go borrow one) and it looked like I had ridden in the rain on the way back. Roads were perfectly dry, so I suppose water from where I couldn't dry splashed everywhere. Oh well, nice and easy to clean now that it has a layer of wax.

What sealer did you use? Mines still blowing slightly at the headers

My brother used some of this stuff: http://www.halfords.com/motoring-tr...99-premium-silicone-grey-gasket-maker-sealant for his Bonneville exhausts (not the headers though, so might be different as it gets hotter up there) and has never had a problem with blowing.

My Akropovic fits tight as a glove.

My friends gs1000 and 550 are another matter but we have a secret weapon for such situations.

Took my bike in for a little warrenty job and had a Bonneville T100 for the duration. Firstly I am too tall for a Bonnie, if I had any distance to ride on one my legs would beat the crap out of me, but other than that I quite liked it.

Things I missed from my bike....

6th gear as I kept trying to find it
Gear indicator as I kept trying to find 6th
The time on the clocks
The clocks
A locking petrol cap (please take my petrol when I parked up scum bag thief)
Torque (hang on why am I not accelerating quickly from 20 mph in 4th)
Overtaking quickness though once I got used to it I was overtaking OK just not as often as on my Tiger.

But the only thing that would now stop me ever owning one is how small it is, the other things I could live with as other than me being too tall for it I really liked it.

When I got back on my Tiger it felt damn weird for a few mins even though I had only had the Bonnie for about 50 miles.

I still keep going for seventh gear sometimes, thats down to owning a crappy cagiva mito

yh they are small bikes compared to modern stuff, based on 60's design
