What did you do to your bike today?

May need to get a new rear tyre, had to put air in it twice since it was bought.

Riding in the wind on a 125 is a bit scary, 125 wheels just aren't made for it lol, felt like i was going to fall off!

oil change, tweaked tick over - was hunting a bit - and adjusted clutch. would have gone for a ride but busy weekend as per :(

kriega us 10 is perfect for a chain caiirer dont even notice its there.

i would probably say you cvan get away with a us5 but i think thats a bit too small for any other sue though.

Do you have any trouble with the chain eventually moving forward into your back? I put my US-10 on for a trip the other day and the chain slid forward slightly into my back making it very uncomfortable :(. 8KG or whatever it is of chain pressing into your back for a couple of hours isn't great.

Not sure how to sort it really, unless I put something between my back and the tail pack, or something inside the pack at the bottom. The Speed Triple pillion seat is tiny.

Love the idea of it though. I managed to attach the straps under my seat so I can tuck them inside when not in use so you would never know it can take a tail pack.

Oh, also one of the hooks came undone on my way back from Hereford, only realised when I got home. That could have been a disaster. Not sure if I'm not doing the thing tight enough or what.

Always hankered after the 990 Super Duke. This is the 1290 R and it is completely and utterly insane. I was actually surprised by my own reaction riding it, it's the first bike in a long time I was nervous about riding. The handful of 1000's I've owned previously have always given me a massive adrenaline buzz and I was kind of expecting the same thing from the Super Duke.

This thing just made me giggle like an idiot. Wheelies off roundabout exits, rear locking up to junctions, it just brought the hooligan out. I never ride like that these days. Because of that I was glad to hand the keys back, also the price tag £14k, waaay overpriced for what it is.

Was great to go back to my teenage yobbo behaviour for a few hours though :D

*DRIBBLES*

Love that bike.

Tips for riding in the wind?

Lean into it if you feel it pushing you,put both feet down at junctions,I'm also a bit wary of passing high sided vehicles as well when its very windy

And laugh, always remember to laugh! I find riding in the wind pretty amusing. That's probably because it hasn't killed me though. But yeah, lean, concentrate a bit more to react to gusts, keep a good posture.

I just ordered the Contour Roam 2 to cheer me up, as the bike is poorly with a disintegrating front wheel bearing right now. Went crazy screechy on the way to work this morning, so I crawled it to BMW and am bike'less seeing as it's summer and I had no appointment :(.

And for some reason I have a hankering to try out a GS.

I'll try those, cheers!

I'm also getting really annoyed at people who think it's acceptable to drive an inch from my back wheel, they can see i have got L plates on, *****. :(

I'll start doing what i do in my car and slow right down, if that doesn't work i'll get off my bike and have a word with whoever is driving, really frustrating.

When you do this you will start to realize that they don't see anything wrong with what they are doing and will get defensive.

Failing that they get in a strop because they don't like their driving criticized
