What did you do to your bike today?

Installed a +4 degree ignition advance, really quick and easy job. Annoyingly it doesn't have the timing marks the stock rotor has. Also helped me find the correct tension on my cam chain too. Next job is valve clearances and double checking the timing (which will mean changing the ignition rotor back!!)

New quick release sprocket carrier and cush drive bling :D:D

Man I love a shiny sprocket and chain... full respect!!! Nice setup man

Just grabbed one of these off Amazon, should come in handy for my daily commute.
I'm noticing more and more idiots pulling out of junctions too busy looking for the gap in traffic and not for me coming up the other side of the road so it's only a matter of time before they catch me out!

Just picked one up myself actually for the cash they're a bargain. In black to blend in with the carbon lid. Was tempted by the GPS one etc but its a bit expensive for something I'd rarely use I suppose, plus gives proof to the fuzz lol. Last thing I need is Facebook being updated "mark going 150 over the picos of spain" lmfao

Yeah I looked at the GPS version as well but at £150 extra it didn't seem worth it, I'm looking forward to pointing at the camera while giving some penis the bird the next time they get out of their car to have a pop at me because they weren't looking where they were going.

ROFL... well mine comes tomorrow. I've used a headcam before 18 months ago in Austria but it was attached to the bike instead... was good and saved some good footage but was cheap... so, thought I'd go up a level or two now... can't wait to attach and see how it performs. At the price, bargain!

Only problem with the Contour is the audio (no mic jack). Easily fixed by using a dictaphone in your pocket or backpack, something like the Sony ICDPX333.CE7 4GB

Best way to mark the audio to help sync is to hoot before you set off :)

Contour Roam 2 sound quality is awful. I've taped over my mic just so i don't have excessive white noise when i play back videos. Video quality is amazing! and the camera just looks the part. I even bought my dad one after having mine for a year and being really impressed. The contour records in 4gb blocks if left on continuously.

In Barcelona at the moment. Waiting for a caña lol. Bikes galore. Way more than London. A lot of small scooters but plenty of big bikes. A lot of BMWs. Also a few Harleys and a number of triumphs stood out to me.

Not many people with gear either, other than helmets lol

How are you attaching these to your lids? This is the only thing making me pause. If it loops continuously as you mention above (as I read it) then I'm almost sold!

Today also: I booked in for an oil service, and to get a quote for repair after I dropped the bugger up a mountain in Italy!

I don't think the Contours do loop continuously, you have to turn it on / off. It's ok though, you're not going to fill a 32GB card in the time it can record for, so you just need to make sure you empty the card when charging.

They attach with a 3M stick pad and mount. Really nice and secure, I've had my Drift on with the same type of sticky mount for over a year with no sign of it coming loose.

What is the quality like of the raw footage in comparison to the GoPro? Any better or pretty much the same?

My only point of comparison is a GoPro Hero HD I have that is ancient. You really could not ask for much more from the raw footage though, it's well exposed, crisp and the 60FPS is sublime. I was a bit of a cynic about the whole 60FPS stuff but for the right content it makes such a huge difference.

YouTube absolutely mincemeats the bitrate and overall quality and is not a good example of the footage the device can record.

I was about 1 click away from buying a GoPro Hero 4 Silver but then decided I was not willing to be absolutely gouged for accessories. £100+ for just the remote control is a bit rich. The Drift S standard accessory package is excellent. All in all I think the Drift S makes a better helmet cam than the GoPro. The GoPro likely edges it out for general overall usage For example - If you do other sports, water based stuff etc

Almost killed a cyclist with it.

Idiot wasn't looking, then for some reason wouldn't get the f off my side of the road.

I ended up having to pass on his left while he was still on my side of the road.

He was looking at the horse, then suddenly realised I was upon him. Should have seen his little shocked face between him seeing me and trying to avoid me :p

lmao wow!

I'm really starting to hate cyclists, with all their tight gear even though they're overweight and ride once a year. The ones that have all the kit seem to think they own the road, more often than not they'll be riding in the middle rather than towards the gutter and they don't move out the way.

Guess he was avoiding the horse by going onto the other side of the road like a tard, then wasn't looking for oncoming traffic. How he didn't hear me either, I have no idea.

Needed my friend to nut him :p

Today I had a bit too much fun

And also cleaned it

I love SDOC, Meguiars & AutoGlym. Lots of all of them being used through the winter. :D

Going to do some ACF50-ing tomorrow. Keep forgetting. There isn't much plain metal on this bike though, so can't see it rusting in a hurry. I guess I'll just stick it on the bolts etc.

Hm it would force me to be more proactive in... remembering to use it, and charge it. Also, pretty motorcycle!
