What did you do to your bike today?

Do you have any trouble with the chain eventually moving forward into your back? I put my US-10 on for a trip the other day and the chain slid forward slightly into my back making it very uncomfortable :(. 8KG or whatever it is of chain pressing into your back for a couple of hours isn't great.

Not sure how to sort it really, unless I put something between my back and the tail pack, or something inside the pack at the bottom. The Speed Triple pillion seat is tiny.

Love the idea of it though. I managed to attach the straps under my seat so I can tuck them inside when not in use so you would never know it can take a tail pack.

i set the straps up on the sub frame so there was something infront of them (grab handles for rear, and for the front to where the some frame has bracket welded.) so they cant slide forward, pull pack on rtight and it stays secure and far enough back.

Oh, also one of the hooks came undone on my way back from Hereford, only realised when I got home. That could have been a disaster. Not sure if I'm not doing the thing tight enough or what.[

you are not doing it tight enough :p

each pair (frpont and back) hold both and pull them out to the side/down to tighten them against each other as much as possible (be firm you aint gonna breakanything) theywil lgo much tighter that way, then snug up the loose webbing with thw clips .

or the other option turn the pack sideways.

I had a very interesting ride to work today wearing new boots and gloves. Need to get used to them :p People through town must've thought i was a complete noob.

I'll try those, cheers!

I'm also getting really annoyed at people who think it's acceptable to drive an inch from my back wheel, they can see i have got L plates on, *****. :(

I'll start doing what i do in my car and slow right down, if that doesn't work i'll get off my bike and have a word with whoever is driving, really frustrating.

Yeah that got annoying on a 125. Small bike and L plates seems to attract them :(

As soon as I got my first 600 there was never anyone behind me :p

Hooting instead of indicating and going into neutral all the way then? :D

My mum's partner hooted instead of cancelling his indicators when visiting Switzerland and caused a cow stampede.

The farmer got rather cross but I think he shouldn't have been taking his cows for walkies to dump their load all over the road!

Yeah is annoying, can't wait until I have a big enough bike I can just pull away on :p

You still get **** in cars who tailgate you when you're doing the speed limit in a 30/40 zone, but then pootle along at 45mph in a NSL...

I had a BMW towing a trailer overtake me in a 30 zone on my 125, while I was doing 30...

The worst ones are the ones that decide merge in turn doesn't apply and they happily try to drive over you or drive you into the gutter.

The first day I got my bike a bus driver tried to overtake me and I was doing 30mph and couldn't go any faster as I had cars in front of me.. Makes me appreciate bikes a lot more now I'm a bike rider!

Not related to my bike but on Monday I started a new job after years of being miserable in management. I now work for a motorcycle dealer and today a special edition, for select customers only, £55k Panigale rolled up for it's first service. Not a bike I'd ever have even if I won the lottery but my god what a bike.

Complete new Delakvic exhaust system.

Fitted a Givi rack to my new Z750. Pretty fiddlely job but done after an hour and a bit of swearing. Instructions are next to useless but its pretty obvious.

Was planning on using my old monolock plate with my current box for the time being but the bloody plate doesn't fit on the rack, must be a smaller plate.

So two options either buy a new monolock plate for £35 or just bite the bullet and shell out £200 on a new monokey box! Know what I want to do but need to get it past the Mrs considering how much I've just spent on the actual bike :p Plus I go away in 3weeks, might wait until after then sadly :(

Ha, yer to work all week so about 100miles so far. No real chance to open her up properly but when I've had a squeeze  :p

Oh god yes, loved my 125 but yer its a completely different experience. Doing some motorway work over to Liverpool on Monday for work so that should be interesting!

Need to sell my 125 now actually.

Took the shrouding off my suspension. It looks better now imo but most importantly it doesn't squeak constantly anymore!

I'm still yet to put my silencers back on though. I want to check a potential burning of oil before I buy new ones so the old ones will have to go back on before I go out on it this weekend.

Finally some decent weather I can go out without getting wet & blown to ****, Having to dry out, Bikes Filthy etc

Anybody else out today & is anybody going to The Vic tonight ?
