What did you do to your bike today?

Take care to keep it away from wheel bearings and esp your radiator,it will flatten all the cooling fins in an instant

I always use washing up liquid n a sponge

Well it revs fine stationary. I did notice that it's only at 75-100% throttle that it bogs down in any gear.

I had something similar with my WR450F and it was the stator(?)... Not enough electric power to spark properly, or something like that?

Ditto, same problem on my CBR600RR track bike, ran fine until full throttle at upper rev range, not enough power from the battery, misfired and coughed, fine once I backed off. Coil packs demand more power under load, the stator/generator/rectifier could well be playing up.

Still raining :( so I got some bits installed on the bike

Evotech Tail Tidy with Ducati Performance LED indicators, really happy with how these look together and the LEDs are nice and bright, stock bulb type can hardly be seen flashing so safety upgrade also!
Just need to drill some new holes in the plate until the V5 comes through and I can get a new one made up.
Also waiting on my seat cowl, no passenger pegs installed but a pillion seat looks a bit weird.

I didn't want to shell out for rear sets so just replaced the stock slippery cast aluminium pegs with the DP machined ones, so much better just riding it up the drive into the garage, the stock ones angle up at the ends like a little ramp for your foot to slide up off and these ones just grip.

ProGrip 717s, used them before and found them great for my larger hands, feel so much nicer than the stock ones and also come standard on the 1199 Superleggera so must be good :D

Just need to get out and ride it more now, fingers crossed for some dry weather!

899 Pani? Welcome to the club if so. Had mine since new last year and love it!

Thanks, it sure is :)

Have you done much to yours, any pictures?

Evotech tail tidy - Stuck my number plate on with the 'no more nails' tape and has never fell off! saves drilling holes in it.

That is all i have done, I found the cost of the carbon bits quite expensive for what you get. Your right about the pegs they are rubbish, something they have replaced on the 1299. You will find when you start throwing bike about that the stock seat is slippery - You can pick the race seat up for about £130 which is next on my list..

I say next on my list, I'm down ducati leeds next time home as the bike wont go into neutral when its running, a lot of pull in 1st with clutch engaged aswell but whilst i'm there I will be taking the 1299 out for a jolly to see what I think.

Will get some pictures up next time home and when I go test ride the 1299! :D:D

@Scort it might need new plug leads, usually its something simple, stators are expensive as well

@clim that's a common trait on Italian bikes, soon as you turn engine off it will click into neutral fine,my cagiva did it,was told by a mechanic its just the nature of the bike

Well when i turn engine off in first then turn it back on (without start up) it selects neutral fine. The problem is when im coming down gears 3rd to 2nd to 1st is a really hard press on the lever (so much so you really have to force it down rather than the nice smooth click)... its only happened in last few weeks so will see what they say.

Yeah I already have the race seat, at 6'3 I needed the extra bit of height and the race seat is more comfortable than stock anyway in my opinion.

You are right on the carbon bits, by the time you add them all you could buy a 1299!

I put on an offroad brace for my screen. I don't go off road but the roads are so bumpy the screens slight jiggling was annoying me. Jiggling is good on female bums and boobs but not on screens.

Picked up my Z750 after a week of waiting for various parts following my rear caliper bracket snapping at speed.

New bracket, new rear wheel, new caliper, new pads, sorted. Also had a wet service and lowered it back to stock rear height.

Feels good on the 1min ride back to the office, can't wait to get back on it tonight going home. :D

Have to buy new rim tape now as I'm mismatching - the shame :o

GB Racing covers finally turned up, installed them and evotech crash bungs..

I hate you... :D

Ide give my right nut for a S1000XR, sooooooo tempted, I wouldn't be at all surprised if this years allocation has sold out all ready.

Don't forget to let us know how you get on with it. ;)
