What did you do to your bike today?

Those LED strips I would personally leave them ON during daytime. I use to think that having the light's on during the day was stupid, but sometimes when it gets really cloudy and dull it helps to notice someone better.

BTW Saw a blue R1 (Just like your dad's) at night yesterday in town, looked sexy. I didn't like them at first, but the more/longer I look at it, the more I like it.

I can't turn the Halo or the LED strips off, only the HID, which is how I speced it, felt no need to turn those off

Took the side panels off, still no signs of the rectifier... I've made a thread on KTM forum, hopefully will get an answer.

KTM has weird tendency to place the rectifier in unusual places, the SMC 690 R has it nearby the engine at the front... just an example.

Tried that before even touching anything, nothing. I tried searching for technical drawings as well as wiring diagrams...

That's what I was talking about, that's why I said its the stator. Got the multimeter, but its too bloody dark to do anything now. I'll just shove it into a garage, not sure where to get the stator from though. KTM will be expensive as hell... :mad:

Used one off eBay? I didn't think they were as unreliable as that,but it says they revised them late 2011

Edit: it still could be rectifier though,either that it the stator

It's ****ing down hard and its dark, will do it tomorrow. This is my first and last KTM, my mate just send me a message that his playing up as well... Premium brand my bottom.

Sod that, everything electric in this duke... My next bike is going to be MT07, good old school manual controls, light and apparently it's fun. Shame it doesn't have fairings...

Hello no, that would probably break on every possible ocassion.

BTW tried win10 and its rubbish, since I need a new clean reinstall anyway might spend the night reinstalling & configuring win7

If only bikes were as easy to work on as PC's/Servers...

They are, as long as it's dry and/or you've got a nice garage to work in.
