What did you do to your bike today?

Today consisted of a chain lube and adjusting session. Yesterday i changed the Spark Plug. Much crisper on the throttle :D

Installed hot grips under supervision of dog.

Finally got round to finishing my brakes! And so happy I can ride it again although no rest for the wicked....

Needs a wash and polish and got to clean and lube the chain which has to be done within 30mins tomorrow morning :(

What would the rubber tube going from the exhaust back towards the engine do? I've got the bike booked for a MOT Saturday morning and the tube had a small hole in it which is sealed with some duct tape, will they laugh at me and fail it? What sort of things are common for bikes to be failed on? It's the first time taking a vehicle to get an MOT.

What bike is it $loth?

Sounds like part of the backfire system to reduce emissions. (02 sensor?) Eg My ZRX has a system called octopus.. corny I know:D

i think he means the rubber gaitor from the carb to the inlet port on the engine,if its leaking it will suck air into the engine and mess up the air/fuel mixture

@ $loth. Take a picture, it would save a helluva lot of time & guess work for all concerned. :)

This may be a stupid question but please humour me. I've got new brake and clutch levers to install and obviously I'll need to grease the pivot bolts. I've never had to grease anything and consequently have no grease. What sort should I be getting?

Swapped over my left hand switch cluster for an R6 one the other day, add main and dipped on at the same time, rather than just one or the other when the switch is activated, and also adds hazzard lights.

Bike failed to start on me for the first time in 2 years :(. Stuck in Sainsbury's car park with a dead battery and a misfire, got it going with the help of a booster pack but it misfired like crazy at lower RPM, been a bit sluggish to get going the last few days but I put it down to the cold weather (carbs). Got some new plugs on order so I'll start there.

Any kind of general purpose grease will be fine, it's not a very critical or demanding application.

Dead battery or charging problem imo

Obviously didnt start and when it did its not holding enough power to hit all the sparks. If you can get a loan of a battery and see if it helps
