@clovis you pay more road tax on the 675 aswell anything above a 650cc pushes it up a tier

@Clovis, what's your insurance like on the ZX636R?

£850 with 1 years ncb, I don't mind paying that much, if I want cheap insurance I'll have to buy a 400 or something, and I don't want to :p

That was a quick quote on a 2014, could go lower to a 2010 model though depending on mileage and condition. :)

That's not that bad, especially since its a supersport bike which are always more expensive to insure.

I do love the high arrows on the speed triple (and the noise they make on the overrun, sounds like gunfire!) but I think they'd interfere with luggage, especially a kriega US30 and 2x US20 bags mounted on the back.

Luggage is fine. The only thing you'd need to watch out for, is if you get the R&G tail tidy, then you need to get the R&G indicators (or other small indicators) which fit next to the number plate rather than above the exhausts.

As you can see, the indicators would probably get in the way of the US-70 setup: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28556083&postcount=7319

From the pics i've seen (of real setups), the US-20s you hang off the side of the US-30 sit quite nicely horizontally without dropping down, so they're not going to hit the exhausts. I'll be getting my US-70 setup soon, so will post pics then :)

Here's the US-50 (30 on top, 10 on the sides) on an older one: http://www.triumphrat.net/2029053-post36.html. He doesn't have exhausts under seat, but you can see they wouldn't be an issue.

Came off my bike on Saturday, because of a pothole on a country road. Luckily the only injury I had was a sprained toe and my pride. The bike also took some minor damage - mainly cosmetic.

Anyway, today I bent the brake pedal back into shape and because the brake light was permanently on, I readjusted the back brake switch. I also refitted the instrument panel as one of the bolts came off. Good as new, sort of.

It was the first time I came off of a motorbike.

Well atleast your alright, and you didn't do too much damage

Roads are in a terribe state in places though, getting slippy aswell now with the rain and falling leaves

Excellent, that's good to know. I'll be getting a pair of US20's for my CB400 for the full US70 set up, for next years touring - so if I got a naked rather than an adventure sports next winter it's this sort of thing you have to think about!

You can even fit a third US20 on top for 90 litres of space :D

Yeah I was quite pleased with that amount, looking at 636' now and I do like them, just not sure if the position will work for me, had to trade in my cbr125 as it gave me back issues :(

They arnt to bad comfort wise tbf

The 2012 introduced the 636 motor again I think, along with traction control as standard, abs is optional extra

The 09 to 11 models had the 599 motor

Kawasaki have improved the design of their bikes, I saw and sat on the ZX636R from 2015. I wouldn't mind one, if the insurance is cheap on them even better.

Are you going for the newer shape? What's your budget?

Carbs balanced and new rear Tyre.

She runs smooth and creamy again.

Were any out of sync? What's the symptoms just rough idling or rough running in general?

Ain't had mine checked in years
