What did you do to your bike today?

@Souleh - Is that a bike bench you have, or just a table or something? I really fancy a bike bench.

Yeh its a lift made from an old converted hospital bed. Hydraulic foot pump lifts it pretty high and its fairly stable too. Totally recommended, even at the height in the pic it makes life a lot easier instead of being the floor so much

Fitted my new slip on and mid pipe :D Damn she roars ;)

That is an impressive gash :D

On a serious note, hope you heal up soon mate, you must have been proper naughty for Santa to give you that for Christmas!

Got around to cleaning my bike for the first time in about 2 months :o have just been using it for short commutes so the chain was still oiled and fine but the rest was properly dirty. Tyres had dropped down to sub 30 psi as well making the handling, erm, interesting. Pumped back up to 34/36 and it handles like a dream again.

Bought some new gloves as well for the cr*p winter weather, some Racer Novus which is soooo bloody comfy to wear and pretty warm as well.

More start up issues, I'm leaning towards the battery dieing to cold weather (it's at least 3 years old), but it could be dirt in the carbs or the filter needing replacing. Basically I went to start it Monday morning and the battery went flat, charged it up and with a fair bit of effort it went. Went to start it on the way home and it took a bit of effort again.

Same again this morning although not so bad but still took some doing and likewise on the way home. Once the bike is going it runs absolutely fine, when i got home today I turned it off and tried to start it again but I had to give it some throttle to get going. Just need it to last all week really as at the weekend it gets van'd off to my old mans place (warm garage) and I will be there til new year and will do some servicing on it, just a pain to get parts over Christmas :p

Poor bike, she trusted me to look after her, allowed me to date her through her breaking in period and then I go and take her out in to the middle of a road and dump her :( 5mph over some very slippery tarmac and the rear slid out when I wasn't expecting it so couldn't recover. First time I've done that in about 10 years.

Gear lever is bent, scuff marks on the alternator cover, clutch lever, left mirror and left indicator but otherwise seems fine. Really wish I'd have fitted those cover protectors and crash bungs now.

yeah if I can get the gear lever straight I'll just leave the rest now until spring then do the covers etc maybe get fancy levers/mirrors.

Yippeeeeeee.

Finally it's mot'd and back on the road. Well still go to get tax either online or maybe I'll pop to the post office tomorrow.

£150 though :( new front wheel bearing. Fitting rear tyre and a few other things. Ouch it's more expensive for fitting than a car. It is shaft driven though. Greta little garage, even chucked in some washers and bolts as he was fitting stuff. Lst owner was such a bigger. Front wheel bearing wrong way around, seals on the inside doh' missing bolts and washer here there and everywhere.

Feels good to be back on it, haven't ridden it since June. Haven't had any transport since then either.

picked the bike up from the garage, new downpipes and full service done on warranty and I had some Maxxis Diamond sport touring tyres fitted.

Bike feels nice and tight and even sounds better with the new downpipes:D Had a little argument with the back tyre pulling out from a junction turning left, hit a white line, tad too much throttle, chucking it down with rain and new tyres hehe.

And out tomorrow I am!
