What did you do to your bike today?

That's not good. Do you have all their details though?

I had the cover stolen off my bike during the night. The bike is 'Almax'd' to the trailer, I don't know if someone was looking at nicking it. A bit annoying though, bike covers aren't cheap!

Well, I'm still hoping it was, but the cover has one of those clip/straps that goes under the bike. I noticed yesterday it was looking like it might get blown off, but I'm fairly sure I could see the strap holding it on still...

Went out on Roxy for thre first time in about 6-8 weeks. Forgot how much I love my bike. Shes now in my lovely purpose built steel bike garage. Very happy and a proud owner :-D

Spent an hour under the bike cleaning every crevice then another hour polishing the exhaust with Autosol, looks so much better now. Replaced the air filter, cleaned and lubed the chain, checked all bolts were tight and fitted a new tail tidy.

Can't be bothered to go out and ride it now though, will have to wait until tomorrow instead.

Truck technician. Stripped down loads of bikes over the years. Have to say i'm glad it's not a 'blade, I look after my mates 09 plate and I'm not a fan, horrible plasticy awkward things (grrr fairings), s1000rr on the other hand, lovely bit of kit to work on, but they were based on one of the best bikes.. ;)

What cans you playing round with? I really fancy a racefit growler or a mega, just can't bring myself to part with the cash for something that will 'just' change the look (am running the tri-oval yoshi)

I feel the same when I work on kawasaki's, plastics galore, like the ZX6, the arse end has about 6 or 7 different bits of fairing where 1 piece and an undertray will suffice!

The bike came with a Tri-Oval yoshi too but it wasnt the right sound I wanted so I have bought the K4 1000 link pipe and stuck on my old Quill Titanium Tri Oval, sounds brilliant but the link pipe is a bit heavy so want to get a titanium link pipe made up...
I usually run with a quiet pipe for Track days but sold or damaged my old ones so on the look out for a replacement too, or maybe just us the Yoshi Tri oval and find a baffle for it, but seems a waste to use a Yoshi can for quiet days, should sell for £200+

I want a racefit growler too, got ebay saved search for them but rarely see ones for the K5 pop up.
I missed a Yoshi Dual tip the other day, they are rare as hell now and the BIN was only £250, should have bought it, love the look of them...

At least you didn't T-bone it fella, did you save the bits of fairing shrapnel?, as its surprising what they can repair with plastic welding these days.

Oh I t-boned her car alright. The damage being so high is where I had my rear wheel in the air so the top of the fairings hit first before flinging me off and bruising my nads. Not fun :(

The front of Kawa's always explode, no matter how big or small the impact!

Glad you're alright, stoppie in the wet?

No different to entering a hairpin in the wet lol.

Im not even attempting to fix it, thats why people pay insurance so when they pull out without looking out for bikers then they can fix the mess they cause.

Looks like it could have been worse than it was Souleh!

I took the cover off mine for the first time in over a month, sprayed the pistons and pads with cleaner, started her up and rolled her about, all feels ok so should be good for getting to work in the morning :)

Today, I've put my new cover on the bike... lets hope this one stays! There are holes at the front for a chain to go through, but my Almax goes through the rear wheel. I don't really want to have to use another lock to secure the cover... but maybe if I'm not using it for a long period then I might as well.

Now, for some advice. I'm removing the old (nonfunctioning) alarm and wanting to fit a cig lighter, so I can charge my phone if needed.

I'm really not bike or electrically minded, do I cut the four wires, leaving the fuse in line, seal the two yellow (what are these for?) and connect red to red and black to black?

Is it as simple as that?
