What did you do to your bike today?

Just listed my bike on Ebay, £10 to list my bike, if i get any interest i'll cancel the listing before it ends to avoid the 10% sellers fee :p

I'd put the year in the title. Also I'd put some standard stuff, like does it have ABS? People might be looking locally at what is for sale and will come across your bike while not specifically looking for a duke 125, you need some basic info about the bike.

It's 'heavy' for the UK, in Poland this is nothing. I remember when I was younger, it was -30-40, snow upto/above my knees and I was coming back from school whilst it was still snowing.

Or when we had 2-3 bottles each and made ice slides for the sleds. :D

I've ridden my bike with 8 feet of snow either side of the road (not piled up by ploughs), the UK just doesn't get heavy snow full stop :p

What's really impressive is that the road surface here is immaculate just a few hours after it snows. The Swiss just know how to deal with ridiculous amounts of snow.

KTM's are very desirable bikes, so you should have trouble selling it. Just maybe put in CBT Learners Bike L Plates - that's what people type in when they know nothing about the bikes. It helps, the guy who bought the bike from me didn't know about KTM, he typed in learners bike and mine came up as it was posted recently. :D

Going back to the snow conversation, I remember only one instances when the public services couldn't cope with clearing the roads from the snow and couple of towns in Poland came to a complete halt. But it was really bad, there was a message through the radio for all drivers to take shelter as it was dangerous to even stay in your car.

Have done. :) What sort of extra info should i put in? Condition, mileage, year are there, reason for sale etc..

It's been on for 20 minutes and had 20 views so far.

I'll be getting myself a full set of leathers in preparation for my week long Europe tour next year.

Nice, what are you going for? It's all down to fit, but I would highly recommend Furygan water repellent leathers like my Brutale Evo 2 jacket - kept me dry through 40+ minutes of decent rain, I'm gonna get the leather trousers to match and that'll be my euro touring kit for next year as I won't have to stop for waterproofs if there's the little bit of rain. I'll also take a pair of kevlar jeans for the less intense/warmer riding days and for doing the touristy stuff.

Breath-ability is the number one concern. I have waterproof covers if I need it but Italy in summer is in the high 30's or more!

Have people noticed insurance prices going up over the past 12 months? Mine will be due at the end of December, I paid £96 a year ago, and when we moved it was £16 (including an admin fee of £30) to swap it to the new house not 3 months into the policy, so that's a reduction in overall premium.

Now, with my licence held for a year, and 1 years NCD, nothing else changed - Bennetts who I'm currently with are quoting £135!!!

Although the new quote is through AGEAS and my current policy is with Equity red star, so unless they don't have ERS as a provider any more?

If I go with Bennetts I may take up their ultimate package which includes EU breakdown cover, helmet and leather cover for an extra £55, that's pretty good for EU RAC breakdown cover (which I'll be buying anyway at some point).

Ahh, that's the one area mine are lacking in, no vents for letting air in. Although i just normally undo the front zip and arm zips a little, and ride a bit faster :D

just got home come across a gritter on the way back and give him the finger :p he thought it was funny first one I have come across this year.

This is my 30+ winters on a bike each year becomes a little harder for us oldies.

I have arthritis in the spine and neck and wobble when I walk lol

Insurance tax was raised last month I think it was so that will account for some of the increase.

A close friend who I ride with his hands are ****** because of winter riding and hard graft after 30 years or so he decided it was time to fit some heated grips on his work bike :D

I don't blame him,im tempted myself, nothing worse than frozen finger tips

my dad used to suffer from it being a navvy, poor circulation to the finger tips, they would be white
