What did you do to your bike today?

So I went with that SV650S I was on about, I overpaid a bit but I don't care I love it. Here's a rubbish pic:

Bet it does about 800mpg though :D

Just came across speed bleeders on M&P - they sound good! Replaces your existing bleed nipple with one that doesn't allow air/fluid back in when you're bleeding, so all you need to do is loosen and pump the brakes!

Just picked up a set, was planning on doing a fluid change soon so they'll make life a bit easier.

That's if the old ones aren't seized into the callipers

Bought a seat cowl and infills last night so I can get rid of my battered looking grab bar, it was between that and a new Scorpion CF exhaust luckily I went to sleep before the need for a new exhaust overwhelmed me :o

Just looked and the M and P 20% off has finished so my CC is safe from the exhaust, for now.

I did a 20min session at Snetterton on a mates BMW S1000RR with GP Shift, man that took some getting used to! So many times I was in 3rd, wanted 2nd and got 4th!

I can see how it would be good once you are used to it though, riding hard and pushing down to shift up is physically easier.

Its so much better once you get used to it in my opinion, but yeah it took a while, constantly selecting wrong gears!

Worse now is when I get back on normal shift bikes, rode a friends ZX6R last week, I mean I know they are gutless compared to the 1000 but I went for an overtake and banged it down a few gears or so I thought.... put it into 5th, wide open throttle and nothing happened :D

They had an extra 10% off Scorpion exhausts as well so it was £100 cheaper than anywhere else, someone tell me it's going to be ok :o :D

Its gonna sound mireful bro.

My neighbours have been annoying me recently so the baffle will be falling out before it even touches the bike.

Now all I need is an exhaust hanger and I can completely get rid of my pillion seat and pegs.

Tried adjusting my chain and somehow messed it up, then it got dark and have to leave it til the morning. Owing a bike without a garage is just crap.

its easy, does help to do it in the daytime though so you can see properly

just find the tightest spot in the chain and adjust/make sure both adjuster marks are the same each side

remember it will tighten up a bit more when you sit on the bike so allow for that aswell

:( what happened? Chain adjustment can be a pain with 2 swingarms if you're not careful. Single swingarm all the way :D

I tried doing it quickly on the centre stand and adjusted it the tightest slack setting in the manual but forgot that there are tight spots on the chain and with it being adjusted on the centre stand that I'd also get a different measurement once the swingarm was loaded, so it's a bit tight and a bit off centre. I'll have to try again in the morning.

My hornet recommended that you adjust it on the side stand for that reason (no centre stand anyway). I found it a massive pain at first as well, but you soon get in to the habit of what to look for, lining both sides up properly, getting the right tension first time, etc.

Now I'm lazy with my Speed Triple. Loosen one bolt in the middle of the wheel, tighten using a eccentric spanner thing, tighten bolt. No loosening of the actual wheel and no chain alignment :D
