What did you do to your bike today?

Finally got round to buying a decent mount for my phone. Which means I can use my sat nav for when I inevitably get lost.

I have the same setup :)
eBay seller??

I am going to get the GoPro Ram mount onto it too hopefully.

Yep, the eBay seller is gpsforless-uk. Really impressed with it, took seconds to put on, and is a really solid piece of kit. The iphone case in particular is fantastic and far better then I was expecting.

I have the exact same mount and case for my bike.
I need a handlebar mount now as the Tuono has bars in the way of the steering head spindle. Need to find one that's compatible.

What did you do to your bike today?

Sold it, let the shopping commence :D

Yep, and you can still use touch through it :)

yep, it has a really nice sealed lining, feels light wetsuit material or something. All clips very securely into place. The touch screen still works very well and there are dedicated buttons for home, power etc.

Awesome definitely going to get one of those for my new bike then.

After GreenLaning Sunday

I was gone go to work today...then the bike was bogging a lot.

So realized the choke was the problem

It was stuck.

Adjusted it (not done this before but was easy)

It's a Husky WRE 125 (restricted to 14 brake)

After I fixed the choke...went for a normal ride.

Suddenly......bike accelerates a lot quicker now, I just thought it's the restriction realized the guy before me must have set it wrong

Found an oil leak after noticing my left boot was wet on the toes, seems to be coming from the alternator gasket (I think). Just got a new rear hugger too as my old one cracked around the mounting bolts and is dragging on the wheel and now has a hole in it, bit of work to do this weekend!

Today I went to get two new Pilot Road 3 tyres. I left with only one new tyre :(.
The front spindle on my F800ST (I need to update my sig!) was seized so I've had to drop it off at the local garage for them to do their magic/hurt my bike.

Incidentally I got around 9,000 miles out of my rear and it was just on the limit, front was/is at 2mm. Only realised how squared off it was when the chap took it off. I'm using Ride in Bike Tyres in Reading.

thanks for the link griffo! moving to reading in a couple of days and need some places for kit for the bike. would you recomend those guys? were they quick? cheap?

also do you know of any good mechanics?

thanks!

ohh and also, i managed to do a it of a strip and clean on the back half of the bike. there was a layer of grit / sand everywhere. when i get to Reading she will become a fun only bike and as such, will do a full strip down and clean ready for a summer of fun!

Ah welcome! Remind me what you have please!

The tyre place is good yeah, been there a couple times now and he's a good guy, takes the time to clean my filthy wheels a bit too, and get rid of the fitting paste/stuff afterwards also. He's generally competitive on price and will do his best to match too.

Mechanics wise mine is currently with MTC Motorcycles for its MOT and the aforementioned loosening of the spindle.

Annoyingly it failed on steering bearings and headlight adjustment. Possibly leaking fork seals too, but I suspect that is my over-exuberance with AFC-50 a couple of days ago, which they're confirming. My thoughts will be appearing when I get it back and compare the final price.

For servicing I've been using BMW in Oxford still, and likely will for the big 24k service shortly.
