What did you do to your bike today?

How many of you have to ride with glasses on? How's the discomfort with the helmet? I should probably change my profession from IT to something else, I spend nearly all my life in front of a computer...

I ride with glasses - another GT-Air owner here - and they're fine. But they can fog up on very cold weather if you need to raise the visor. I'm going to try contacts again for our next Euro trip, but I don't want to risk having very dry, tired eyes at the end of each day.

Met the same guy as yesterday on the same piece of road.....

He was filtering down moving traffic (fine as its a really wide road) and then stops behind a car but keeps the position of back right of the car. I move to his mirror and wait for a few mins but he's not checking them or he's just not moving over... I wait for a gap in oncoming traffic and take a wide ark to overtake him and the car he's stuck to the back of.

Hope he improves soon

This really erks me, people half filtering or randomly stopping when its still clear to continue but not getting out your way.

You do not have to filter just because your on a bike we filter for a little chill in traffic then carry on depends how you feel.

This, not everyone is late for their own funeral

You would like him to at least check his mirrors though so he can move over for those that do want to pass, surely?

Are you deliberately planning a trip to see every possible aspect and border of the European immigrant crisis? :p

Not really :p

GT Air is my next helmet! :D

Edit Anyone need a track bike? :D http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CBR1000RR-British-Superbike-/111884409221?roken=cUgayN

If I wanted to sit in traffic I would take my car :p

Exactly. He could have easily moved over and I gave him plenty of time to do so.

You know how you read peoples driving language? I just get the impression his awareness is not as good as it should be. Going by both of my experiences around him, I'm more worried for him than anything else

Yeah it was a pan European and it did have the side and top box but it was a dark grey and a 14 plate. Didnt notice any camera either...but I'll look for one now :)

Depends if you have the entitlement on your licence or not to tow a trailer? Why can't you just ride it?

I'd rather bring it back in a van so I'm not rushed to sort the insurance and tax, also I won't be riding it immediately so it's a waste paying for it now.

Woke up at 5pm to find my bike on the floor, one of my a-hole neighbours must have hit it and just left it there. Thought it might be the wind but unlikely as it wasn't that strong plus it was down on the left side. Crash bungs seem to have done the job if they hadn't it'd have cost me more money as I don't have fully comp insurance.

You really need off road parking if you're going to own a bike imho.

Got my bargain stormex cover today, it's like a duvet could happily camp in that thing! Bit more of a pain to get on than the cheaper Oxford cover I did have though.

+1,

I've asked that guy who walks with hand held terminal and gives tickets for bad parking. :p He said as long as its not in the way and is parked properly they don't care. ;)

Hmm... looks nice and not an example that was abused. How troublesome would a 24 year old bike be? I wouldn't do a euro trip on it though... :p

Smart move in my eyes. The horror stories of people crashing on the way home when 'testing' the bike out arent pretty
