Smart move in my eyes. The horror stories of people crashing on the way home when 'testing' the bike out arent pretty
How long will it be sitting clovis? Id keep the tyre pressures at 36-42 and leave it on the stand. Will be fine for a couple months. Just check the pressures. And put a cover on her. Any longer than a couple months and maybe some fuel stabilizer. Thing with a front paddock stand is if you have weak fork seals the pressure may force them to leak quicker.
Yeah I've heard them too, I'd rather not become one of the statisticsat least when it's in the van I can relax and enjoy the drive back.

What'd you guys think about putting the bike on a paddock stand in the back and tying it down? Rather than have it on the side stand?
@Clovis, post some pictures once you get the bike!
Edit Those will be fine, I had mine on side stand, 1 strap on my seat the other on the tank. Use something under the straps though, it'll scratch you paintwork if you don't.
How far do you need to move it? Might be worth looking around for people that specialise in bike transport at least then you know it'll all be strapped down properly and insured if anything does happen.
If it's not a great distance then it'll probably work out about the same as getting a van, ramp, fuel, your time etc.
no way the wind would blow it over
Don't be so sure, mate found his ZX9R laying on it's side in the back garden years ago after a night of gusting winds.

Seem to have lots of bikes and the prices aren't that bad.
+1,
I've asked that guy who walks with hand held terminal and gives tickets for bad parking. He said as long as its not in the way and is parked properly they don't care.

Hmm... looks nice and not an example that was abused. How troublesome would a 24 year old bike be? I wouldn't do a euro trip on it though...![]()
