What did you do to your bike today?

Dropping my CBR600FX (99') off tomorrow for fitment of;

  • Stainless Steal Motad downpipes and collector
  • Dynojet Stage 1 carb upgrade
  • Dyno setup and tune
Hopefully should be good to break 100bhp... we will see!!!

So, I'm not the only one changing his mind everyday on what bike I want? :D

Definitely not! :D

It's crazy, the more I ride, the more obsessed I get. Like tomorrow, I've got to do the nursery and school run, but I plan to drive home after it and pick the bike up and go into work on that (flexi for the win :p). I'll then drop it back at home during my lunch so I can have the car for nursery / school pick ups. I've been finding myself blasting around during my lunch breaks too.

Fitted the steering damper! Not sure what setting to run it on though.

Haha, I use to go out for lunch on my bike and took the longest possible route back... The worst thing was, when I had late shifts and it was a sunny day. :( Its definitely addictive, according to my granddad when I was younger I was always interested in motorcycles. I've lots of pictures on different bikes and with bikers/clubs etc. :p

The only weird thing is, both of my granddads use to have lots of different motorcycles. But my parents and uncles were never interested in riding, well my uncle had an accident when he was in the army on a bike. My dad wanted a motorcycle, but my granddad said no... Now my family is trying to prevent me from getting one, but its not working. :p If I ever have a son/daughter, I'll encourage him/her to ride... if he/she doesn't like it than that'll be their decision. I'm jelly of those who ride with their dads and even granddads! :p

I did! It says start on the softest setting and raise it up 2 notches every so often and check the difference lol. It does feel drastically different on 4 notches but curious what others run.

This is how you enjoy those sunny, clear days! You earn it by riding in the crap weather and conditions

The problem with where I live is my house is at the top of a very steep hill, and with it being frozen this morning, it's just not worth the risk taking my bike out on it.

Once it warms up I'll use it everyday, but while its icy, not happening :p

This was my car at 5am this morning, the road was even more slippy! :p

I have a sprint damper and I run mine 1 or 2 clicks back from the hardest setting.

I may have to eat my words on my mirror adaptors not fitting the bike, it would appear that the mirror mounting holes do pass all the way through the cowling brace so I can use threaded rod to attach the mirrors.

Still a complete pain having to remove fairing panels to fit them though, whoever decided on that design decision needs a slap.

Pictures? Sorry, I'm just really curious! :D

I'll grab some when I fit them at the weekend if it's not too cold and wet, joys of not owning a garage!

Knowing me I'll go through all the ballache of fitting them then decide I preferred the original ones :o

I've just been paid, so have done the thing that any sensible person should do and blew most of my wages on bike gadgets. I've bought a Sena 10U for my arai helmet - it's been delivered today, so will look at installing it tonight.

I was after a satnav for the car too, so have justified spending more on a dual bike one too. I'll test them out this weekend by doing some long rides.

Straight white would have looked better, and that crack would drive me mental knowing it's there they could have at least sanded the repair back a bit before they repainted it!

What's the battery life like on those sena intercoms?

Sena say around 10 hours talk time, 8-10 radio. If you do bike to bike they have a range of a mile, which isn't too bad. I wanted something that comfortable fits in the helmet and can blutooth to sat nav, so I can get directions without looking away from the road. It should do the job.

Swapped my starter motor out today, the bearing in my old one was starting to seize up and struggled to turn at all. Its nice to have a bike that starts on the button now
