What did you do to your bike today?

Straight white would have looked better, and that crack would drive me mental knowing it's there they could have at least sanded the repair back a bit before they repainted it!

Yeah... well I let this one go as I couldn't live with this colour scheme...

Sena say around 10 hours talk time, 8-10 radio. If you do bike to bike they have a range of a mile, which isn't too bad. I wanted something that comfortable fits in the helmet and can blutooth to sat nav, so I can get directions without looking away from the road. It should do the job.

That's decent.

Edit

I've been chatting to a guy about an black sv650 08 with just over 10k miles, he had its since new. The bike wasn't used much in the last year or two, I've asked for a price. How much would you say its worth? (details & pics in the spoilers)

Details...

-Tyres Avon Storm 2s
-Beowulf Warrior full exhaust system
-R&G crash bungs (For faired edition, easier for me as I hate these naked lol)
-heated grips
-fender extender
-Scottoiler
-Socket for a sat nav under the seat
-Fabbri double bubble screen
-rear cowl
-black seat (standard was red?)
-Givi top box

A picture of the whole bike please? It'll be easier to judge which one suits it better. :)

But the first does look better, the 2nd stands out too much... like it wasn't meant for this bike.

Just an idea for a thread that came into my mind, in which we could talk about anything bike related. So this thread would get some rest from all the OT :p

Biker's Cafe Chatroom

Edit

Offer him £2.2k IC3. :)

I won't pay too much for this bike, not a big fan of grey wheels, no fairings and that exhaust would go off the bike ASAP.

Edit2 Look at this beauty http://me-moto.com/other_makes/49690-suzuki-sv650s-fully-faired.html that's exactly how I would have modded my SV, the only things I would change are indicators, smaller plate and different mirrors.

tallpaul posted it I think, the one with chamfered edges? the one of ebay were decent that I used but normal square edges, link is in cat c thread somewhere

Ic3

Regarding the sv650 you have posted, what's up with the hose going to the water pump to the radiator, looks wired in one of the pictures? Is it a full exhaust system or just a slip on, if it's a full exhaust system, will need a remap. If it's been stood, get all fluids changed, and maybe even a caliper strip down, clean and regrease.

The rest of the bike is hideous at the moment till i get my plastics back and get a rear wheel to match.

Your right ic3 the black wheel doesnt belong to the vtr it is a cbr 600 wheel. The rear wheel needs to be from a cbr 900rr from the early 90's but they seem to be impossible to find.

Im in two minds about which is better, i think the white rim tape needs to come off for a better feel.

Thanks for choosing number 2 guys ;)

Just the light I think, pics are clearly taken at the same place and time, just different angle.

Beowulf don't even make full systems, only cans and link pipes. Not exactly a "slip-on" for the SV650 since you have to hacksaw the original can off the rest of the system :)

The shiny stainless/chrome part under the engine isn't original, possibly just a shiny cover since the rest of the system looks to be the typical brown, rusty stainless steel of an SV650 :)

Installed the Sena 10u into my helmet last night. I've got an arai axces 2, and the fitting instructions didn't seem to apply to my helmet. The way the device is built, it seems as long as you have removable cheek pads to put the speakers in, it could be shoehorned into any device.

When it's installed, there's barely any visible footprint in the helmet:

Sound quality is great, and so far I've paired it to my phone and can use cortana to do pretty much anything. It comes with a handlebar control too if you don't want to be touching the helmet controls.

I'm going to give it a proper test over the weekend.
