What did you do to your bike today?

Changed the clutch cable and what a ball ache! Sheered 3 fairing bolts and had to take off the rear fairing, seat, petrol tank and lower right fairing. feeding the thing past the air box was a PITA as well. Done now at least....

hehe:p I hope you greased up the bits later, saves a world of hassle, and yes you were overdue by the pics, squirt some oil on the rod/spring that goes into the clutch aswell, its as dry as Ghandi's flipflop

theres usually a rubber boot that covers the exposed cable

My scottoiler (v system) arrived today - the mass of tubes in the box is making me think it might be a bit tougher to fit than I thought when ordering it... to fit it to the wr125x I've discovered that I need to do some drilling and use spigots and such too - which should be interesting.

Any recommendations incase mine needs changing?

I've been recommended motobatt, I did sent it back for refund as my stator killed it when it was slowly dying out... :( So, I can't really comment on how good it is, although YouTube reviews seemed positive.

Maybe get a gel battery? Apparently they're a lot better than the acid ones. But also cost double/triple... :o

Money is no issue ;)

My bike is kept outside, down the side of my house, i have a cover over it but it's only a cheap thing and wafer thin, it's the best i can do with the room i have, won't be so bad when i buy my own house because i won't ever have a house again without a garage and a driveway!

Yuasa are stock on Kawasaki too, fwiw I've had two gel batteries on my zx10r and it needs another, they lye almost flat and are a bit meh tbh,the one MF battery on my zx6r outlived them all but it gets used daily

So your best bet will be Gel... :p

I'll check my battery tomorrow and make sure it's pulling enough, anything under 10 means the battery is kaput, but I won't rush into buying a new battery until I've tested it.

The bike is now in charge outside and I'll leave it on all night, turned it on after an hour and the bike started first time but only once, I reckon that cheap charger I'm using with the optimate cable may be doing more bad than good! Ordered an optimate charger now too.
