What did you do to your bike today?

My old GoldWing's Fuel gague was almost useless.

It would show up as full for ages, and then all of a sudden, in the space of about 10 miles, it would plummet down. So I had to get fuel right away or I would be left on the side for the night.

What an annoying thing.

The only thing I miss, is the fuel gauge to show how much I've left. SV only has a reserve light... :(

The ZX6R doesn't have one either. Just reset the odometer when you fill up each time. I know that I get 100-120 miles out of the bike before the fuel light comes on and then I have about 30 miles to get to a station and fill up.

I think 166 was the most I ever got out of it and at the petrol station she took a full 17litres (size in the manual of the tank) so I must have been running on vapours :P

That looks much better, that OEM tail is huge! :)

I gave mine a wash, adjusted the chain and took off the calipers and pads and gave the pistons a scrub as the lever was feeling a little sloppy - got a nice firm lever now :D

All good for tomorrow :D I may go out for an hour or so in a bit, it's cloudy here but warm, sweaty work working on the bike!

It's 113db. Not as loud at the bigger brother. But that needs plumbing into the battery. This one is the mini one. Plug and play

I dont have space to mount mine where the disk horn is. Have you just managed to find an alternative place to mount it or did you find some diagrams etc?

Had the 1 year/6000 mile service done on my S1000RR today (it's only done 1800 miles :o), also had a recall carried out on it which involved changing the shifting mechanism, apparently they made them from Swiss cheese. Can't say I had any issues with it, but I guess I wouldn't with those miles :p

You crazy person, you've barely ridden it passed the break in!

Haha yep the service guy said that too, it is a bit of a garage tart. I just tend to use the KTM more, for work and everyday chores. Plus I had a GSX-R1000, Street Triple R and the S1000XR last year too (I did over 5000 miles on the XR in 3 months) I've calmed it down now and just got the two bikes, life's too short, enjoy it while you can! :)
