What did you do to your bike today?

Angel GTs

Had the current set fitted mid November last year and the rear still has some life left in it to be honest but after 9k it is a bit square and I want something fresh before the roads start getting really crap rather than running it until it's totally dead.

Can't complain with the life I've gotten from them.

How much are they a set?

Thinking of going for the Metzeler M5's for when I get the SV back on the road, I used them on the GSXR last winter and my brother has run them over winter on his ER6 with no issues either, and I can get a set of those for £165 and I fit them myself, I really want to try the Pilot road 4's or the Roadtec 01's but they are too expensive!

Tried to go to work on it. After ~1 mile the front right brake seized, turned around and went home to get the car. Sun is out as well

Weekend in the shed for me then ...

Good tyres, I ran them on my VFR, after about 3000 miles they had hardly changed shape. Not amazingly inspiring to ride on, but they felt grippy enough, and great in the wet.

My KTM990SMT came with Metzeler M8 Interacts- they feel great, and are reportedly pretty long-lasting.

I had a pilot road 4 on the front of the SV and it was great through the winter. So much so I run them on the CBR now

I'm not liking the Angel GT's. It's been 600 miles since having them put on, they're good in the heat and reviews state their longevity is great. But cold and wet they don't come anywhere near the Pilot Road 4s.

I've not run PR4s but I've got no complaints about the GTs in the cold and wet.
It may be because I'm comparing them to the BT021 or 23s can't remember which that came on the bike when I bought it, they were hilariously bad in anything other than the warm and dry.

I've got GT's on the commuter bike and Metzler Z8 interacts on the Tuono, the Z8's are basically the same as the GT but with a different tread pattern from what I understand, Metzler own Pirelli (or the other way around).

Wet grip on the GT's awesome from my experience, no issues at all for the past 20k miles.

My Nuda has got battlax hypersport s20r tyres, not sure how well they do in the cold + wet but in the wet they seem ok, might go for some metzeler m7rr or pilot road 4's.

I use the Metzeler M8s on zzr12 good all round tyre and very good in the wet and decent life on my 3rd set.

Also use Metzeler on my vfr work horse but not the above version.

A VFR not running pilot roads!? tbh I've not seen that. Every VFR round this way run them

I used to slide all over the shop in the cold and wet on the Suzuki OEM Bridgestone Battlax (BT-020?). I also came off, but i'm not sure if the best tyres could've saved me tbh.

Cannot stand Bridgestone tyres, I am sure they have improved a lot since I last used them but I cant see myself ever using them again.
