What did you do to your bike today?

Not so much my bike but more the garage. Finally managed to get some decent time in there to get things sorted.

I'd love a garage like that. Esp as the only choice I have to work on my bike is outside under the sky

Did some work on the old SV this weekend, rebuild the carbs finally, old pilot jets were completely clogged up, new ones sorted the problem I was having before, one of the diaphragms is a bit old and had trouble seating it properly so I think ill pick up a new.
Also had a go at setting the float height, what a palava, seems to run ok so must have got it about right....

Ignore the state of the back yard, its a dumping ground for bikes and car bits, I will sort it out eventually....

Small video of it running.

I class that as the fairly easy part done, now to sort out some mounts for headlight/indicators, mount and set up the trail tech vapor dash.
Then sort out a new battery mount, that block of wood is currently holding up the battery...
And make a new undertray to house all the electronics/ecu, make up something to hold the rear brake light/indicators and numberplate...

Winter hack bike to begin with, then maybe the GF can use it next year when she passes, then after that who knows, got full wets setup for it so maybe spare track bike :D

Even the squinty eye headlights have grown on me, that is a very nice example.

Noticed a slight vibration/rattle coming through the clip ons when going over some rougher roads the last few days almost like on a bike with straight bars when the clamps have come a little loose.

Checked every bolt on the front end when I got home and considering the steering stem nut is supposed to be basically as torqued up as the rear axle nut it did tighten up a little more without too much pressure so hopefully the slight movement from that is what I was feeling. Either way everything else is tight so I'm not worried about the front end ****ing off down the road away from me now :D

the bike is just utterly amazing, truly bonkers.

Lovely example, nice one. :)

You going to decat it/change the pipe?

I gave mine a bath today, getting it ready for it's ACF50 oily rub down tomorrow.. :o

Bilt Hamber autofoam really gets in the nooks and crannies.

Applied a coating of Fusowax to the panels and wheels ready for winter months. Cleaned and lubed chain.

Ordered a pair of Ventura L brackets today for it, hopefully be here before the weekend as I'm away on a short trip up North.

Beautiful bike, it was a toss up between the S1000rr or an rsv4r, the s1000rr won but only just.

Plans are to getting sounding a bit better, the price of a full system doesn't help, it's probably going to be a slip on for a while.

Some rearsets and levers after that, PC5 etc

What about you Bud?
