What did you do to your bike today?

Painting the forks. They had some light surface corrosion and the last paint job was bubbling in places. Etch primer is done - painting tomorrow.

Just replaced the cam chain tensioner on the blackbird to try and see if that calmed the rattle at 3k. Replaced it with an uprated version from the X11 (different footprint, stronger spring). The whole thing sounds totally different through the whole rev range. So much smoother. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade!

Replaced headlight bulb with an Osram night breaker. I'll test tomorrow morning but the spread looked better with better light all round.

Going to have to send the LEDs back I got from ebay...after days of back and forth the guy recons I must have a very rare fitment and bar bodging the LEDs into place there is nothing that can be done.

Annoyingly he wants them all back before he will refund me....which means taking the bike apart again to get to the back of the dash.

If anyone can find a dash LED kit for my bike, CBR600F (FT) 96 please let me know as I'd rather replace them all at the same time rather than take it apart yet again....

ebay listing is where I got it from before - just to save it being suggested as it appears to be the only thing that comes up when looking on Ebay, specifically looking for CBR600F LED kit anyway

German rules on bike mods are as strict as the Swiss ones.

Make sure every mod has a clearly visible EU mark and number on it, and I mean everything from bars and mirrors to top box mounts and radiator guards.

Concluded that he master cylinder is toast, looking for some on ebay, a new one is £160 :/

Rebuild kit? I'd have thought at worse you'd have just blown a seal rather than totaling the MC.

what exact year/model is yours? Looks like there's 2 part number depending on the year/model for gen 1 tuonos.

Sent mine for its mot. Shockingly it failed on the tyre valves but they replaced them for the cost of the valves as I kitted myself out with them when buying all my gear which cost me a small fortune (first bike).

Mine is a 2003 bog standard 'Fighter', although I read somewhere that all clutch master cylinders are the same gen 1 and 2, gen 2's certainly look exactly the same.

Didn't know that was a thing when it came to MOT. How do tyre valves fail MOT?

yeah looking at it, ti's the same part for gen 1 and 2, and falco's. There's a few on ebay, for £70-80 - I'm sure there must be a rebuild kit available if it's just a seal that's gone.

Says they were badly corroded on the refusal sheet. Only cost me £4 to have new ones installed.

I can only find them on ebay abroad. There are some new seals but I'm not sure I'd want to mess around with that then find it doesn't work, might be worth a go I suppose.
