What did you do to your bike today?

Just dropped my usual garage an email to get a quote to balance the throttle bodies and replace sprocket carrier, swingarm pivot and suspension linkage bearings.

I imagine the response is going to make my wallet shudder even with my riding group discount.

I wouldn't mind doing it myself but I don't trust myself not to completely mess up bearing fitting.

I only tacked the sprocket carrier one on there because I've got no idea when it was last done so it's at least 20k miles old and they'll have the whole back end off anyway.

I've priced up just the bearings for the other bits and parts alone are over £100 plus I'd guess maybe 3 hours labour as long as nothings stuck so £300 minimum is my guesstimate.

It'll be interesting to see how wrong I am :D

£200 parts £200 labour at best as long as nothings stuck then £60 to balance tbs add another £75 if I want Suzuki parts and that's with discount.

I think that may have to wait!

New chain, sprockets, and braided brake lines for the Super Tenere.

Rode to Infinity Motorcycles in Oxford today. Good shop, got all the Rukka kit, Daytona, etc.

Love the new Rukka Forsair. Gutted I just got the Alpinestars Celer gloves - Corsairs are so much more comfortable.

Also found that basically nothing except Alpinestars jackets fit me properly, they're all too big in the chest and too short arms. Alpinestars seem to have a better chest/arm ratio for me.

They don't stock in Furygan stuff either, that's supposed to be good for small chest/long arms.

Anyone want to buy some almost new Alpinestars Celer gloves? :D

All you guys say Furgyan is good, I find it too tight in the chest and narrow in the shoulders. The arm length is good though, but when its comfy in the chest and arms it so baggy around my tummy. :(

I've got a near 50 inch chest, wide shoulders and a small waist in comparison and my Furygan jacket is a lovely fit.

Then again their leather jackets weren't even close to fitting.
