What did you do to your bike today?

I love the slipper clutch on the Tuono, it's not a 'proper' slipper clutch but still works well. Without it the engine braking would be horrendous without blipping on each downshift.

Yeah with a slipper clutch you don't need an auto blipper or a manual blip. When pushing hard though it still pays to blip as the clutch can only do so much.

Cheers, I was tempted by the official triumph one as I saw one going for £159 which is half the price of brand new. They are good fun though but you can't downshift with them, did you install it yourself?

yea was dead easy. Airbox off and route the cables from the coils to the control box under the seat. About an hour if that.

Wow edd1e that thing looks awesome. What a beast

My R1 is getting collected today buy it's new owner :(

Was doing a couple of hundred miles a year, not even that last year. Thanks to new job and child, I don't even have time to tinker with it any more. The new owner has got one clean, well sorted old girl.

I went outside to the CBR to tidy up the wheel and get it all ready for putting back in at the weekend. I ended up staying out the for an hour and putting wheel back in etc lol. Only went out there while adverts were on TV and came back and hour later missing my programmes lol.

I do that all the time, I get mega sidetracked! :p

I've gone out to check tyre pressures and ended up sat on the floor surrounded by bits of the rear wheel and suspension linkage :o

Oh dear, what's up?

I have this issue where I say to the other half that I'm just going to be a little while to adjust and lube the chain, then come back in two and half hours later...

Sold it!!!

The CB400 that is... ;) It was collected a little while ago to be delivered to it's new owner.

They say you never forget your first (big bike), I'll never forget my little CB400. It's taken me to Wales, Devon, Germany, has been perfectly reliable even after being chucked down the road and covering 25k miles with me riding it.

I will miss the 14k rpm redline and the vtec noise, but not the 50bhp and 9000 rpm cruisng at 80mph on the french motorway!

The first day I had it:

Wales

On the North Devon (Exmoor) coast:

The Germany, Mosel valley euro trip:

And finally, with it's garage mate after it had been cleaned ready for sale.

So long, plucky little CB400!!! :D
