What did you do to your bike today?

Yep, I'll be commuting on the Tuono until I find it's replacement (as I have been the last few weeks). The CB400 was my all year round commuter workhorse and the replacement will be the same, but will be something with more power and better weather protection.

My friend moans when he's following me and I blip on downshifts! But I've been doing it so long it feels terrible not to. Reading above I'm glad to hear it isn't just me!

Today I am riding about daintily until I get new tyres.

Your friend is weird! Blipping on downshifts not only sounds great, it's needed to match the revs unless you have a slipper clutch.

Finally talked myself into changing the fluid in my front brakes and putting my new Ti bleed nipples in only to find the nipples are the wrong size

Oh well wrapped the old nipples with some ptfe tape and stuck them back in and at least my fluid is a nice fresh colour now rather than a dirty amber.

Cleaned it, cleaned the chain and lubed it. Did the first chain adjustment since I got it I September last year, only needed minimal adjustment. Fitted the radiator guard too, easy enough!

She looks a beauty. Don't know after the next 2 years do I just hand it back and get a street triple r edition or buy it. It's fast enough for me, feels great in corners, looks the part and sounds great. Only reason I didn't go with the r in the first place was the insurance, basically doubled!

Rear caliper nice & clean. Surprisingly good condition after 2 years of all weather riding, the dirt just wiped off. I wonder if Triumph used something on the pots to stop the dirt from sticking as they replaced the pads on the 2nd service for free. Either the caliper is in a good place not to get that dirty, or Triumph put something on there to help.

Finally my mirrors turned up, a lot better than I thought they'd be :)

They allow a decent view behind, but best of all no vibration :D

All in all not bad for £11.59.

Hopefully the new Bagster seat will be here next week.

Bike being collected on Monday for a trip to Hammer & Tongs in Warrington.

ECU being remapped, getting a steering damper and new tyres as previous owner squared the rear off.:(

How so?

Seem to be ok for me but time will tell.

That hurts :D

Far too small to see anything but my shoulders, refused to stay tight so started flapping around and the air flowing over the cut out in the stem made a loud whistle at any real speed.

None of that may be an issue on a naked though.

I notice all the foreigners have started invading the alps

It snowed Wednesday though and I saw loads of sad/surprised faces while driving through a mountain pass :p
