Well not much progress with the bike - it made it to BMW Motorrad in Bristol, but there's an 8 week wait before she's looked at - as the Service guys are running at full capacity at the moment; I'm just thankful my old friend managed to overrule the bike getting rejected - when I can walk ill have to go see him (it's been a good 10 years!).
My claim is unfortunately LV vs LV, as both the TP and myself have the same underwriter - so I'm expecting shenanigans at some point! My appointed solicitor via Bennetts (Bike Assist) turned out to be as useless as the ones LV tried to pair me up with - not sure if I mention above, but after a call with them on the 26th of September I wasn't filled with confidence when the guy I spoke to pretty much said my claim wouldn't go far as I'd chosen to filter past an empty junction.....
Nonetheless I duly provided them everything they asked for then heard nothing again! I had to chase them up to ask of they were even still handling it; at which point some emails arrived with the official instruction for them to act for me - decided to leave it for the time being and have gone back to see if White Dalton can take my claim on instead. They'll cost more, but I reckon it's worth setting the sharks loose imo.
As far as my injuries are going - leg is getting there slowly, another 2 weeks of the massive boot before I can try to weight bear, the spine is due to be scanned in November; so for the time being I am wearing a brace when not laying down - also on morphene and other strong painkillers. Safe to say my biking is done until 2023... seen as I'm #*&*Ed and the bike proba ly won't be fixed until the New Year.
Leg shot I took when in trauma on goodness knows what:
Whatever they gave me, I didn't even feel them set the bone and put a cast on - I was also enjoying more gas and air journeys
Edit: also, forgot - they also think I might have signs of osteoporosis in my pelvis, which is supposedly rare for someone of 41 - I'm just hoping that the damage from my 2008 bike crash is all they're seeing... I'll find out in due course on that one.
