What do people want to achieve from being rude?

You were on your own and made them serve something that you didn’t want and it ended up being premeditated. Not really sure that’s any better than just being blunt and saying they were too slow and walking off without wasting £5.50 of product. In fact your lonesome, revenge timidness was pretty weak versus being honest about in the first place.

Well no.
I wanted a beer. So I got one somewhere else.

Cool story though.

Not yet another "i work in a shop and people are rude to me" post.

If you dont like it - choose another job rather than post multiple whines and moans about it.
Interesting, there appear to be a few on the forum who think that it's best to run away rather than improve things.

just to play devil's advocate and argue against my own view... my patience was tested yesterday and I dare say if I had kicked up a stink I may not have been ripped off. I bought an inflatable for the lad on our holiday in Tenerife . it was only 7 euros but when I went to blow it up there was a small 1cm slash in it. I took back to the shop an hr later and he said I had used a knife to slash it or long fingernails I have no nails (v short) and a knife had not been near it. I tried being polite but firm but got no where.

today we went to subway for lunch 26 euros. paid via contactless and the lady said it had not gone through so I chip and pinned it. got back to hotel and checked my account and.... I have been double charged.

I don't think it was deliberate the lady seemed unsure what she was doing... but either way... I was charged twice, the 2nd one rejected as it probably looked suspicious then a 3rd transaction went through when she asked me to chip and pin.

will go back tomorrow and show my credit card accountabd politely but firmly ask for either a refund (or a free lunch) 26 euros I won't be so happy writing off

I had a customer returning three items on two receipts. One of the items was faulty so had to do a separate refund. So three refunds.

Customer behind serving customer became irate. I said I’m almost done. He threw a tirade of insults, which I recorded on my colleague worn camera. I said if you carry on like that, I refuse to
serve you. Manager got the phone call which happens when a worn camera is activated. He immediately asked the man to leave and don’t come back,

BTW we have many colleagues off on annual leave as it’s Easter. My other two kiosk trained colleagues were on break and meeting with a manager.

The man turned up at the wrong time. He has no patience.

You work in a supermarket, why are you always making it to be so bad and one of the hardest things ever?
