Hi peoples,

What do you think about the 4070Ti? What power connector will it use? Is it worth buying at £799? which is what i think it is going to be.....

I reluctantly purchased an Asus ATX 3 Aura Edition power supply, hoping for something better to come along......getting impatient now..... I need a power supply for a new future proof build, but dont know what to get...... should I cancel the Asus PSU?

What does the future hold for GPU's? What connectors will be used long term?

Artificially overpriced to keep the 4080 price higher than it should be and the 3000 series from being reduced, can't be having nvidia take less profit on their overstock (reducing the prices more would help there...) due to banking on crypto at the expense of normal gamers...... basically we're getting shafted all over again, this time directly from nvidia

expensive, the only interesting thing about it is the price gap between 70 Ti and 80 class cards is huge compared to the 30 series gap.

a definite shift in product positioning, trying to stretch more cards into premium price spots with big price tags.

No FE model for the 4070ti which means any of the decent versions will be £900+ and at the end of the day it's only 15% faster thanthe a 3080 while the 3070ti was 40% faster than a 2080 and cost £525 and even then it wasn't really seen as good value.
Wow, this is a pretty poor decision from Nvidia. Is there going to be a FE version of the RTX 4070, or RTX 4060?

No FE means the retail prices will be inflated by the AIB partners making the gap between the 70ti and 80 less than if there was a FE at £799.... it's not a poor decision by Nvidia, it's a calculated move because they know the markups that board partners are going to add based on past products and the 4080 cards.

Nvidia originally wanted $900 for this card before it got unlaunched and I'm sure that's where it's likely to be once AIBs do the dirty work for them, it's just priced $800 at the msrp to make it look better than a 7900XT in reviews.

Faster than a 4090! :p

I think it's a rip off at $800. I'm expecting UK prices of £800-£900 for the cheapest models.

It has a 3rd tier GPU die and it's priced like a top tier card.

The 3D performance is only a bit faster than a RTX 3080 10GB.

But more expensive. They can charge more because of the frame gen hardware, but the problem is, frame gen hasn't been implemented at the driver level, to allow support for all games with a single on /off switch... It has a bit more VRAM, which I'm sure will appeal to 4k gamers.

But, not the generational improvement I'd hope to see. I'm more interested in the RTX 4070 (non TI), but would probably only buy one if it is definitely faster than the RTX 3080. The delay to release suggests it won't be...

Nvidia is still selling all their cards at high prices, so I really don't think they care about lowering prices and producing more cards. They will only do this if AMD can produce some really competitively priced mid teir GPUs.

I hope AMD has something more interesting to offer tomorrow and in the coming months.

I hope there will be several graphics cards based on Navi32.

It's not, Nvidia charts are ********. That 1.8x number is playing a game on the 4070ti with dlss3 on vs the other GPU has dlss2. Add the 4090 to the chart and it would show up as 3.0x faster than 3090ti
