NVIDIA 4000 Series

It does not. 3090 ti will be faster in raster. The 3060ti was not far off a 2080ti.

Guess we'll find out tomorrow reviews come out ? Nvidia's own charts showed 4080 12gb ( now called 4070ti) was pretty much on par with the 3090ti at 4K without dlss yes could have been few cherry picked , will be interesting how it compares at 1440p

If performance holds up it should be 4070 at usual 70 tier pricing imo

We're not in the same situation now tho. The 40 series cards are available and are much faster than the 30.

Yeah, they always are fast but we are seeing leaps with every series.
They're available, but at a much higher price than 3000 series - why lower their prices?

There's not a huge incentive for a 3000 series owner to upgrade - I'm certainly not going to. So the used price will stay relatively high, certainly very few bargains indeed.

Of course prices will come down slowly, but the step up from a 3080 is a 4080. It's a grand. Perspective can get a little lost, so I'll say it again (not at you @cjgardens, this is a generic outburst) IT'S A ****** GRAND

Very cool feature but wouldn't go back to chrome now because of the adblock situation. Thankfully most videos I watch are already 4k! Although this would be useful for people with poor connections.

Or for Youtube users when they decide to stick the 4K steaming option behind a paywall.

I wouldn't really call £800+ for a 4070ti that looks to be about 15% faster than a 3080 which I paid £650 for 28 months ago a leap unless you mean the price?

node improvements ? for example if it matches / beats 3090ti while using much less power and retaining close to 70 tier pricing would you be calling out the cut down ? 3070 was pretty much on par with 2080ti for £469

the uplift from 3080 to 4080 16gb to me looks pretty decent , if the 70ti is close or beating 3090ti you can see uplift will be from last gen 3070ti

still need to see third party reviews not gonna go by nvidia's claim , and seeing how it compares to 3090ti at 1440p

if the peformance claims hold up its the pricing that sucks

It's a 4060ti, if not then NV wouldn't have had to withdraw it.

Nvidia even said it themselves, most of the Nvidia user base still don't have an RTX GPU and we are now 3 generations in.
This isn't supprising when we've had Turing which was disappointing, Ampere Which looked promising but was ruined by scalping and crypto then ADA where Nvidia has decided to do the scalping but it's not going so well with no miners to bail them out this time.

I'm guessing there will be lots of cheap 30 series GPUs soon. :D

Contrary more like 30 series holding decent value cause based on AIB prices, a new 4070ti is double the price of a second hand 3090 for 5-10% more performance so I don't see why 30 series prices would go down

This can't be right can it? 3x?

When we dropped the 4080 to £1099 it sold really well over Christmas, be good if NVIDIA can get the cards down to $1099 officially would assist sales a lot. :)
Yeah it sold to mugs, the fact you can even ATTEMPT to discuss selling that card @£1099 with a straight face makes me sick, honestly, your ethics as a retailer are down the *******.

I go by performance if the 4070ti really is close to the 3090ti as shown by nvidia's own charts at 4K without DLSS 3 I would say thats pretty impressive they only showed few charts and could have been cherry picked and not show the full picture still yet to see how it compares at 1440p which it should be for , its just the pricing for 70ti card that is high imo

I may be wrong but when was the last time 60 tier card pretty much matched last gens flagship ?
Its a MASSIVE node improvement, that's why its possible for a 4060ti to match the 3090/ti from last gen Samsung **** silicone....

It's really false advertising as it's not a fair comparison, you can't count frame generation as a reason why it's 3x faster.

Nvidia marketing ... compare apples to donkeys. .. It's all become disgusting and none stop misleading people now regarding everything. This is what happens when the general public allow such companies and organisations in power, we have no one to blame but our selves now because we take it and say nothing now and made it the norm.

Honestly i'm done now with all this and anything that smells fishy i'm not even going to entertain.

If they compared the 4070 Ti to the 3090 Ti the 4070 Ti without using any tricks like frame generation it would be a disaster, you'd get a similar performing card with far less VRAM and end up paying more for the privilege, but shove frame generation in as a comparison and the 4070 Ti looks like a magical performance upgrade for a little bit extra in price, cowing joke to be honest.

I love frame generation but it should never be used currently as a comparison, I mean a few years down the line when it's been a standard feature on a few generations and once AMD has been using it for a while as well, then absolutely it's fine to compare it.

It's like DLSS, it's been out for quite a long while now and AMD has a version of it with FSR so go ahead and compare the new cards to the old ones. Just imagine AMD coming out and saying our card is 3x faster than the previous version due to FSR, well of course it would as it's upscaling when the old one is doing it natively, there would be hell to pay if they both ran natively at the same speed but the new card cost you more.
