Where Eskimos Live

Quite an old film with Bob Hoskins, set during the war in the Balkans, trying to smuggle a child out of the country. Very good film and surprised I hadn't heard of it before.

Watched "District 9" this afternoon, thought the first 10-15 mins were very meh.

After that, however it just got better and better, fantastic film, brilliant effects and acting :D

"****" *South African accent :D

Not particularly last night but close enough. Martyrs...most horrifying film I've ever watched. If anybody has seen it I'm sure they'll agree, it was getting to the point where it was even too much for me.

Watched District 9 last night, I could not stand the south African accent! Started off a bit meh but picked up towards the end. Can't believe it's in the top #250 of IMDB, it was no-way that good!

I watched a film called Dark City, very Matrix-esque, except it came out a year before The Matrix so I guess it's fair to say The Matrix is very Dark City-esque :p

Not a bad film, worth watching definitely, not as slick and high budget as The Matrix but with it's own charm.

In short: man wakes up with no memories, realises there are inconsistencies in the world he finds himself in, finds out there are evil people who are manipulating said world, and that he has the power to do the same. Stuff happens.

the 9 hour TC or the 12 hour extented cuts?

Fellowship of the ring: 171 min
The two towers: 172 min
Return of the king: 192 min

Total 535 mins (8h 55m).

So as you can gather it was a late night :)

Watched Mongol with the missus and we were both wildly impressed! A stunning movie for such a low budget ($20 million).

Yup that's a really good film. I was very impressed too.

Might watch Night-w-a-t-ch & Daywatch back to back tonight. (stupid profanity filter!)

Man On Fire

For those who loved Taken.....I can promise you Man on Fire is far superior.

One of my favorite films.

Man on Fire is brilliant, the ultimate revenge film, that also has a very emotive end to it.

Denzel Washington, is scary in this film, his motivation is unquestionable. He becomes psychotic in his revenge.
