What film did you watch last night?

I watched a film called Dark City, very Matrix-esque, except it came out a year before The Matrix so I guess it's fair to say The Matrix is very Dark City-esque :p

Not a bad film, worth watching definitely, not as slick and high budget as The Matrix but with it's own charm.

In short: man wakes up with no memories, realises there are inconsistencies in the world he finds himself in, finds out there are evil people who are manipulating said world, and that he has the power to do the same. Stuff happens.

Brillaint film, I love Dark City some nice surrealism

I watched Haute Tension (Switchblade Romance) again because my girlfriend hadn't seen it and someone at work recommended it, they also gave the ending away so it didn't really have the same effect.

I found watching this a second time there are many inconsistencies/plotholes knowing the truth, some parts just don't work at all.

The Postman, seen it before but when at asda on sat night i saw it for £2 so thought im having that. Stuck it on, on sunday night with a few bevies and pizza.

Great film defo one to watch.

Taken. Liam Neeson as a bad ass ex-CIA agent looking for his kidnapped daughter, awesome!

The Strangers. A couple get terrorised by 3 people one night, most of the film is about the couple trying to get away from them but was surprisingly well paced.

Burn after Reading - Weird film, found it hard to watch.

Hancock - Already seen it, but went for the HD showing on Anytime. Quite like it to be honest.

Did you watch them one after another (Hancock then BAR)?

I was going to do the same but +'d BAR after watching Handcock.

Watched Pleasantville, since the missus hadn't seen it. I'd forgotten just how incredibly good it is for a 1997 movie. We were both roaring our heads off.

Quality stuff, highly recommended. Some excellent social commentary too.
