What film did you watch last night?

Monster Hunter - 3/10 - I really like Milla Jovovich, from seeing her for the first time in The Fifth Element through to this god-awful film I've enjoyed the vast majority of her work despite none of it being particularly great, but this thing is just so unbelievably bad that I'm amazed it got any money to film it in the first place (maybe Chinese money?).

From shoddy CGI, poor story adaptation from the video game to.............well everything really. I've given a point each for Milla, Tony Jaa and Ron Perlman just because I like them as actors but everything else sucks hard!

Just watched "Last Christmas", with Daenarys off Game Of Thrones.

It was dreadful in every way possible. I absolutely despised Wham as a teenager, and their songs haven't got better with time.

The Mrs says she really enjoyed it.

The Atomic Cafe

Basically a documentary made up of old propaganda films, news and educational clips in the post nuclear 40s and 50s.

I enjoyed it, it showed an oddly positive (and naive) view of 'The bomb' that I've never really seen in my lifetime. Had to Google to confirm it was real, because it felt a little like a parody in parts.

Quite dark, a little disturbing, and funny in parts.

Boss Level - 7/10

Groundhog day, but slightly different, trying to find a way to survive and save everyone... Quite enjoyable I thought.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off, seen it a few times but just decided on a whim to re-watch after it popped up on the Sky Cinema page.

Feel like going on an 80's movie binge now......what next lol.....thinking Ghostbusters.

Greenland 8/10

Gerard Butler is the only big actor of note in the film which I think he carries the film very well.

It's an end of the world comet type film, it's better than I thought it would be. It's done in a very different style to say something like Armageddon as this has a much more personal touch to it and focuses more on the moral dilemmas and sacrifices that would probably happen.

Would certainly recommend.

Happily

Crap, thought it was going to be a dark comedy, turned out to be some crud.

The Stand In

Thought it was going to be a low-effort comedy, turned off after 20 minutes as it was just a pile of nothingness even when going in with low expectations.
