What film did you watch last night?

Dune 1984
then
Dune 2021

Never seen either before. Story was pretty good.

There were times the cast and theatricality of 1984 definitely seemed better than the 2021s higher quality sfx and technical complexity.

Javier Bardem looked exactly like Oliver Reed.

Intrusion (2021)

A Netflix original film, which should have been warning enough. A wholly unoriginal, totally predicable thriller, completely devoid of any thrills.

Save yourself 90 minutes of life and don't bother. Or just watch the first 15 minutes and guess the rest. Trust me you'll be spot on.

The synopsis should have read, movie characters do the dumbest things and are too stupid for words.

2/10

Don't know what the 2 points are for. Actually it's for the house most of the film takes place in. Would've like to have seen a Grand Designs episode on it.

Red Notice - The Rock does The Rock, Ryan Reynolds does Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot provides the eye candy, along with Ritu Arya. It did what it was supposed to do, provide an entertaining couple of hours. 7/10

Cry Macho, Ok at best, felt Clint was a bit old for the role tbh, he just looked like the oap he is, not someone capable of one punching and punching above ;) saying that he was the best actor and to give him his dues at his age you gotta hand it to him. The IMDB rating is probably on the low side but fair.

The Harder They Fall
Rather nice really. It's on Netflix and reminded me a lot of Django Unchained. If you like the style of Tarantino's direction, then this is a nice easy to follow flick with some cool bits to show for it.

Sonic The Hedgehog - 4/10

The film version of wallpaper paste. It looks fine, the cast is alright, it is utterly and instantly forgettable. Everything that Detective Pikachu got right this didn't.

I quite fancy watching The Last Duel and hear it's on Disney+ now. Can anyone tell me if it's free with the sub? I might sign up and rinse a few things over the Christmas hols.

Thanks.
